This is by no means a fully comprehensive list of popular materials, but it is a listing of some of the more popular materials and an average, reasonable price over time. Keep in mind that prices are very much subject to the supply of said material (what gates are in rotation). It is not unusual for the price of a material to be double or half of what is listed here, so it behooves the reader to confirm current prices by checking the Auction House. The most stable market tends to be 2-3* materials; shards and 4-5* materials tend to fluctuate a lot. There is no 1* market because these are typically sold in bulk for about 5-20cr apiece to crafters. As always, if in question check the Auction House and sort by Buy Price for a general idea of the going rate for a material.

5*:
Sun Silver ~16k
Philoso Feather ~16k
Plasma Cell ~15k
Flame Soul ~8k
Shadow Steel ~7k

4*
Trojan Horseshoe 4-6k
Ghost Bell 4-6k
Warp Dust 1-1.5k
Blaze Pepper 1k
Heavy Gear 4-6k
Meteor Mote 0.5-1k
Mug of Misery 0.5-1k
Silver Coil 0.75k

3*
Fine Fabric 1k
Bushy Tail 0.5-1k
Force Dynamo 1k

2*
Monster Bone 200
Swordstone 300
Iron Gear 100

0* (Shards)
Blue 75
Green 75
Red 20
Light 20
Dark 30

Recipes are a tricky business. I have little experience selling non-5* recipes, so my information may be of limited use. That said, my impression is that for recipes between 1-3*, there is not much of a market, and only a handful of 4* recipes sell with any regularity. Even among 5* recipes, the majority of them don't sell. Most recipes, I would not pay for more than a 1k cr or 20% markup, whichever is more. I will list some of the popular 5* recipes, but be advised that prices can fluctuate by ~5k based on current availability. In general, any other "useful" 5* item like Shivermist Buster, Acheron, or Ash of Agni typically retails for 30k, give or take a few k cr based on availability. Low utility recipes like the Silvermail series or Dragon Scale series sell very poorly, with wildly fluctuating prices.

35-40k:
Vog Cub
Grey Owlite Shield
Divine Avenger
Barbarous Thorn Blade

30k:
Acheron
Gran Faust
Ash of Agni
Shivermist Buster
Volcanic Salamander

Very helpful, appreciated.

Is there a version for Recipes that you find from Basil? I'm finding it's a lottery of win or lose when you pick a few up and try to re-sell on the surface so others can get them easier (not aware of the equipment demands).

Might want to add Blast

Might want to add Blast Powder, it goes for 200cr buyout last I checked. Great price to sell a 2-star item :)

As for recipes, autogun recipes seem to always be expensive for some reason. They're 2-star, and yet they're always above 2k, which is more than a 100% markup. No clue why they're so much more expensive than alchemer recipes, despite their disadvantages. Of course there might be a huge supply-side change since I posted this, bringing down the prices. ;)

Thanks for making this list!

This is a nice list but is

This is a nice list but is this more for the reader when buying or selling? Some people can get away with selling Swordstones for 700-1000 crowns is why I'm asking.

Anyway just to add, as far as 4* items go, Ash Tail Coats are good sellers. I've sold all of mine for prices between 14k and 16k which is really good profit wise since thats approximately 1.5x the price.

This guide is for general

This guide is for general reference. If you're buying, expect to pay a little more than the reference; if you're selling, expect to get a little less. And if you truly want to get a good price for your items, never sell to the bulk buyers in trade chat, and always try to shop for an item in trade chat. That said, the convenience or selling a large package of mats via trade chat is often worth the 25-50% markdown from the AH prices, or buying a recipe at a 20% markup. It all depends on how valuable you decide your time is.

@Silty: Do your blast powders actually sell well? A high buyout isn't indicative of a hot commodity, but if you've been moving a decent amount at that price, then I'll add it to the list. The reason why autoguns sell well is because all the newbies see a gun that goes pewpewpew and automatically assume it is awesome (a powered up autogun can be devastating, but has relatively few applications). Granted, any weapon will do the job in T1, so I don't doubt there are a lot of autogun owners entering T2 with a case of buyer's remorse.

@Yoshipatrol: Thanks for the info, I had suspected but not confirmed. In general, recipes that are part of a popular alchemy path will be worth a little more, unless it is easy to get (like 2* wolver), in which case the market may flood. Along those lines, I seem to recall many of the 3* Snarborlax recipes sell pretty well.

35-40k: Vog Cub Grey Owlite

35-40k:
Vog Cub
Grey Owlite Shield
Divine Avenger
Barbarous Thorn Blade

30k:
Acheron
Gran Faust
Ash of Agni
Shivermist Buster
Volcanic Salamander

All of these are sold everywhere. So I usually took chances with buying non-common one like Divine Veil, B. Thorn Shield or Gran Faust. I sold a Grand Faust recipe for 41k crowns.

I dunno, I only got them one time. Maybe they go for so much because their demand is low but their supply is even lower, yet they'll be harder to sell than an iron gear for instance.

Your price on shards is off

Your price on shards is off and it can vary a lot. Anyone selling blue shards for 75 crown is either desperate or doesn't know better. I can always get away with selling blues at at least 100, often 150, and sometimes 200. I never had issues selling red at 50.

I know people always like to argue with me about this in game, but I'm just relaying what I've found to work, and I'm new to this game. Sure, blues will sell right away at 75 crown, but if you use a little patience they will still sell at a slightly higher price. Now as to why they sell so nicely at that price is that the cobalt set uses a lot of blues, and that armor set is still popular right now.

I never had success selling dark and light shards at higher prices, so about 20 sounds correct. 25 for lights works sometimes too.

I never tried selling greens individually, only in lots.
