Ok so I was scammed, and then had to logoff, and I filed a complaint many hours later. A player called [redacted] from the guild '[redacted]' said he would make solid cobalt armor for me, so I gave him the materials and crowns and he promptly left. I took a screenshot of him saying that he was going to make the armor and give it to me (how do I post a screenshot?) . I also had a witness there. Could a Game Master please take a look at this?
Scammed!

They say a sucker is born every minute.
Not that i don't sympathize, but really?
The only time i would EVER think one should try to do this sort of item creation is if you knew the person IRL. That way you can find them if they so happen to "scam" you. I feel your pain, but you're the one who cut off your own leg. At least it was low level equipment, and not a Cold Iron Carver or something.
On a side note, I promise I'll buy you a car if you give me your money, your drivers licence, and your credit score.

Miyu12, if you filed an in-game report, a GM is taking a look at it, or has already done so. It's most helpful if you report cases of scamming in-game ASAP after they happen, rather than waiting. Because screenshots can be tampered with, they cannot be accepted as evidence, which is why this is so important. Naming on and shaming on the forums doesn't get the GMs' attention nearly as fast as in-game reporting, and it's also against the forum guidelines.
Why would you ask someone to make you a piece of Cobalt armor? You can get the recipes in the Haven Bazaar and make them yourself. I don't think there's anything the GMs can do in this situation. It's just... well, stupid.
