How do people sell 4* and 5* gear in AH when u have to level up the 3* gear to make it 4*?

Additionally, items made before the crafting update would un-bind each time you upgraded them. It is possible that the item in question was built before automatic re-binding was in place.

i dont get it...
slightly off topic here but im seeing non UV 4*,5* items being auctioned for double the price it would cost to craft them.Why do peope buy at these prices, do unbound items offer some sort of advantage?

they probably buy at this price because they have enough money to not care if they're paying the double, and they don't need to level up the item
You can get 4*+ gear as random drops from treasure boxes.
