Enhanced controls customization

So just a very simple idea here, essentially as much as I love this game and almost every aspect of it I do get frustrated with a couple of aspects of the controls so here's what the game could benefit from:

- Hotkeys for weapon slots; we have them for potions but they're NEEDED for weapon slots, its so insanely frustrating when you have 4 weapons and you're cornered by 8 shock knights going "OMG WHERE'S MY SWORD" and waving bombs in their faces stupidly, some people may be very precise with mousewheel and next/previous weapon buttons, but there's a lot of us out there who enjoy the definite precision that comes with hotkeys; the F-keys are all available here.

- Toggle mode for drop/use; it would be very nifty if I could hit right shift to toggle drop mode and then press my potion hotkey instead of having to click and drag my heal potion (risking accidental use) to drop on the ground for my friend who just joined my run.

- Push-to-talk option, the other day I heard a girl arguing with her mother: "Don't you think I know where you're going when you sneak out after I've gone to bed, I wasn't born yesterday and let me tell you, you're NOT READY FOR AN ACCIDENTAL PREGNANCY YOUNG LADY!!" as amusing as this was to listen to I do believe it illustrates WHY some players choose Push-to-talk when the option is available.

- Autorun; this game is already quite accessible to one-handed players, though click to move players are at a disadvantage when trying to use guns; this might even the playing field.

- Toggle shield

- Improved chat bar UI:
- Mousewheel functionality
- Arrow keys/pgup/pgdwn

These are all fairly simple UI additions that can really make the difference in a game's polished feel and thereby make it a more attractive long term prospect.

PS: I don't know if joypad/game controller options are there but if they're not they should be, it never hurts to make the game more accessible

PPS: Is there a colorblind mode?

Seriously, there has to be

Seriously, there has to be more than one person who agrees with this.

The game controls can be a major selling (or turn off) point for a lot of players, especially people who play FPS' and are used to being able to quick swap their weapons without having to scroll.

Weapon Hotkeys for President! :D

Yes, I've been wanting to have weapon hotkeys for a while now. Ever since I upgraded to four weapon slots, I've had more "OMG WHERE'S MY SWORD" moments than I care to count. D:

I don't agree with you. I

I don't agree with you. I just like how the controls are simple...

Uh, oh. All the things OP mentioned would be obviously optional, you don't have to state how ignorant you are.

I second all of this. While

I second all of this.

While you're at it make all the menus actually navigable with a gamepad. I know someone with crippled hands who would really appreciate not having to use the mouse.

@ joozek

Ignorant?
So to disagree with someone now means being ignorant. Ok, gotta remeber that.

Toggle shield?

Do you mean you want to remap it? You can already do that. I find it easiest to have attack on left click and block on right click.

Not remapping :P

Hehe no, its not a bad question I suppose I should've mentioned what a toggle is:
Toggle is when you push the button once and it stays active until you push it again without having to hold it, the easiest example is to compare your shift key to your caps lock key, you have to hold shift down but you only have to press caps lock once.
