Upgrade Materials

I have tons of materials I don't need, and not enough higher star ones that I do! A conversionethod would be nice. I imagine a transmutation machine, similar to but separate from alchemy machines. Recipes would he stored universally in the machine, so I wouldn't have to buy them. CE and CR costs should be minimal or free. Instead, the cost is in mats. For example, make 10 gel drops into a gel core, 10 gel cores into a brute core, 10 brutes into a rocky. That would burn through mats fast! It would make one more way to get high quality mats, and also increase the value of the tons of junk we end up with.

Instead of buying recipes, the machine is all-knowing. I search it for what I want (e.g. "perfect snowball") and it gives me the recipe. Clicking on an item in the recipe would take me to the crafting cost for that item. Recipes could be adjusted with patch updates to help drain items that are in over abundance.

I like recipes.

I like the idea of using a combining method to make better materials, but I don't agree with getting rid of the method to attaining recipes.

While I do seem to be carrying 238 Gel Drops, I also look forward to buying a Vog Cub recipe and selling it for 12k profit, give or take 2k. It's a form of making income for those who can get far enough to attain the recipes and it also provides a service for those who can not and still want/can make their armor and weapons 5-star stuff.

looks good! i would prefer recipies, and why not just match the recipies to the alchemizer we already have? if OOO has to make less they'll be happier!

Sorry for not being clear, I

Sorry for not being clear, I didn't mean to get rid of recipes. I meant for material upgrading, you wouldn't have to buy recipes. I have currently 53 different mats in my inventory, and I know that's not all of them! Can you imagine needing to hunt recipes for that?!? That's also why I suggested a separate machine, since that machine would be more like a vendor with a list of things available. I think that would be confusing if it was in with the alchemy machines.

It wouldn't just have to be "upgrades" but could also be conversions, like 3 of any shard gives a shard of your choice, for when I need red shards but only have 100's of everything else. Recipes could be "unlocked" based on tier clearance or something.

To sum up: you go buy your vog cub cap recipe. And when you are missing one of the mats, you run over to the mat machine, search for the mat you need, and "upgrade" your current mats to "buy" it.

Oh Lord!

That, I agree with except maybe for the rarer materials, like 5 Star ones. Those maybe hunting for would help create a new thing to sell, which would help the economy a bit more because it would be an extra item that would go into the flow of need/demand on the Auction House. ;)

convinience

to make it more convenient i would like it to be in the same thing as the alchemizer, but to make it more organized it could just be put on a seperate tab called the "materials" tab :D
