Basically, I currently have

Leviathan Blade
Swiftstrike Buckler
Vog Cub Cap (Normal + Elemental + Fire)
Vog Cub Coat (Normal + Elemental + Fire)

And I need to replace my shield with a 4*, 5* one. What do you guys think? I don't use this set for anything specific yet.

ok, so the last one is replaceable... sleeping and pierce resist are not so good, and stun isnt so bad. but looking at each one in a row, you can see where I am coming from. each shield coveres normal defense, one specialized defense, and status ailments. so I would say just use barbarous thorn shield rather rhan royal jelly, and you'd be set. :3

I can't imagine how quickly

I can't imagine how quickly that blade is striking enemies... Anyway Barbarous Thorn is amazing with its sword attack increase but unlike your other choices it doesn't protect from any statuses. I don't know whether you'd need to much more Fire resistance so Drake Scale doesn't offer too much over the Barbarous Thorn. I'd probably go with the Barbarous Thorn Shield.

@Yoshi, it's definitely noticeable, I tend to do shield cancel so it's more noticeable then. Worth it.

But thanks for the comment, I'll be working towards Barbarous Thorn Shield. :D
