Just wondering which one is a better investment?
While the volcanic salamander set looks better imho, according to the wiki it seems that it pretty much has the exact same stats as the Vog cub set. Recently i got my Avenger, my first "slow sword" and am still getting used to the slow attack style. Is the Sword Attack Speed Increased: Medium the Vog Cub set really worth it (worth the CE/crowns to be spent for a switchover from the Salamander set)? I am a f2p player, but don't really mind the grind if it's really going to be worth it.

Salamander gives you fire
Salamander gives you fire resist and bonus damage to slimes... which don't have a fire version. Vog Cub gives you fire resist and increased sword attack speed to everything.
Both are viable, but there's not a whole lot of point to the salamander set besides the look.

If you use Swords then Vog
If you use Swords then Vog Cub is better, if you're a pure Bomber or Gunslinger then the Salamander offers better stats. Since you're using a Divine Avenger it may be more helpful for you to get Vog Cub items but its solely dependent on you. Personally I like the Chroma line much better than the Wolver so Slamander is easily my choice.

Ah, guess that settles it...I'll switch over to a Vog Cub set and probably use the Volcanic Salamander as a costume. *sigh* 800 energy *cough* .-.

Ah it's not all a waste; there's too much Vog for you to be wearing it in public anyway. Salamander as a costume is good.
Well, basically Salamander gives you a bonus only to slimes whereas Vog gives you an overall bonus (ASI means you can strike more often [even with a slow sword !!!], and thus results in more damage), so...
