Ok so I'm using the Royal Jelly band 5* and the Dread Skelly charm 5* and the defense strength of them looks to be a total of 2 bars. Their is the first half section then a whole bar and another half section but when I scroll over Gear icon (shaped like a helmet at the bottom of the character screen) the defensive strength of the piercing and shadow defense isn't the same as what the trinkets themselves show the strength shows less in the gear icon. This makes me think that I'm not getting the full benefits of the trinkets. Can someone tell me as to why the defense of the trinkets don't show the same as in the gear icon.
Question about trinkets
I'm not sure if that's is a serious reply or a joke
All the 5* trinkets that provide status defense against Fire, Shock, Curse, Poison, Freeze and Sleep show about a bar and a half of defense strength where as the trinkets that provide defense from Elemental, Shadow, Piercing clearly show a defense strength of two half bars and a full bar. So why are the base defense showing less they what the trinket info themselves provides. Looking for and educated answer from a Dev or from a seasoned played.
Well, Replicant's answer was kind of serious in a nice package.
If you want a more formal answer: The bars are inaccurate.
The bars are only there to show that the item do somthing..
But they are not exact in any way..
So I also passed my question on to support and this is what I got back from them.
"Not to worry! You are getting the full benefit!
While we do keep most of the details about the bars quiet, I can tell you that
it's possible that there are different scales for individual items and for
your total stats... (big clue you've stumbled on here)"
But thanks for your input everyone.
That's vague but interesting. Good to know that they aren't useless at any rate!
If you equip gear to yourself then go to the character button and highlight the picture of your mask at the bottom left of the window you'll notice the defenses there don't exactly match up either.
Also while its good that support says that, it doesn't necassarily mean they're right or even know what they're talking about. I'd HOPE they do but I've had run ins with a few companies (one really specifically) who has support staff who barely knew anything about their own products. So I might just be skeptical still but that chance is always out there. The vagueness of the answer is what really gets me as thats what this other company did.
Pay no attention to the bars. The Gremlins have been known to tamper with them to lull young Knights into a false sense of security.
