So, my Pc is fairly fast but mostly every time I enter a new area in Sk, the loading time it takes is terribly long, so I was wondering if there was anything I could that I'm not already doing to decrease Loading time.

Notes:
Graphics ARE on low
I use the: 1024x768x32 60 Hz window size

It's not the graphics causing the slow loading times, but rather the hard drive(also a bit of RAM and CPU). Make sure you are not running background programs that could be using your hard drive. How old is your computer? I have a 10 year old laptop that takes about 5 minutes to load the first level of the tutorial even though I have pretty much maxed out the hard drive's performance. You can download disk activity monitors that tell you which programs are using your hard drive(this would be useful before starting the game, so you can turn off the culprits before loading).

Same problem....

I am having the same problem... My loading takes an incredibly long time, and I know it should take a few seconds with the current build I have for my comp....

I am currently running;

OCZ 30g Solid State (just for windows)
2x Hitachi 7200rmp 1tb HDD
Nvidia 550ti 2g
Asus Cosshair Formula V mobo
AMD FX series 8 core 3.1ghz
Corsair 8gb RAM
Windows 7 x64 Ultimate

I am fairly well educated with a computer, so if there is something that I am missing, or something that I am just overlooking when it comes to the game, please let me know. I do know that the game does run on Java, and I have done a few things to try and increase the Java Run time output, but that didn't help. So please, let me know if there is something that I might have missed.... Thanks.

The Spiral Knights resource

The Spiral Knights resource files on my computer become as fragmented as an archipelago whenever it updates itself, so if you've updated it more than once, you may want to run a defragmentation program even if analysis of your hard drive says you don't have to.

Of course, if Zandermoonshade has the Sprial Knights resource files on his solid state drive, fragmentation shouldn't be too much of a problem. (Envy.)

Oh, and make sure you don't have any versions of Java before Java 6 Update 31. Mixing old versions with new versions can cause memory leaks and decrease performance.
