Just throwing ideas out here feel free to give your opinions.
Anyways, I was thinking of two cool features for possible new shields.
Shields that can damage anything that touches it from the outside by being fueled by heat. Once heat is exhausted the damaging feature ceases. Pretty much ideal shields for people who've completed their five star equips and have no use for heat. (Also I admit this is sort of anime inspired. Zekkai in Kekkaishi).
Next, Shields that have floating mech turrets encircling around the normal visible sphere that shields normally show. These turrets will shoot out at enemies when they get in a specific distance between you. The damage it causes will probably be relatively small. The catch is, once your shield is broken the turrets will break along with it but won't respawn until you revive from death or until you move on to the next stage.
i'd would prefer a shield WITH A CHANCE to damage enemies rather than a guaranteed chance with expending heat
