I really, really like the Spiral Knights Wiki. All of the people who have worked and contributed to it are doing a fantastic job with it. Combined with Steam's overlay browser, it serves really well to be able to Shift+Tab into a wiki article to check something, then go right back to the game. I have a dual-monitor setup, but when I'm playing full screen on one I don't like having to Alt+Tab out and search for something, even though once I have it up I can reference it very easily. I would much rather just toggle the Steam Overlay, as it's much faster than having my system minimize/restore Spiral Knights.
Here's the main idea. Entering '/wiki *target*' into the chat channel acts as a silent command (Or even have an emote of "CygnusRising consults the Spiral Knights Wiki" or what have you,) that either opens the wiki with a target search either in the Steam Overlay Browser in the case of Steam-linked installation, or the system default browser in the case of a stand-alone installation.
Obviously, if your spelling is atrocious, you'll just end up at a search results page, but typing out '/wiki Damage/Monster Resistances' and having your computer do the heavy lifting of opening the browser and navigating is much faster than any alternative method currently in place (Alt+Tabbing to desktop for browser access, or opening Help>Wiki)
what's the point of that? either u re in haven and can just go check yourself, or u re in a party and u cant obviously have time to look that
