Maybe a new type of weapon should be the boomerang. It would do more damage shots fired from a gun, but you couldn't throw it again till it comes back to you. Some boomerangs could grab items for you too. Also, you could charge it for better range, among other things.
Certain boomerangs would maybe plant bombs(on the floor or enemies), and others might shot at the apex the toss. Is this a good idea? What do you think.
I'd want a hook-shot, an eye of truth and some magic beans.
Jokes and Zelda references aside I think this wouldn't be such a bad idea but I would definitely like the core game to be solid first. A lot of the recent changes have been doing some funny things to the balance and the performance hasn't been as good as it was previously.
I want a bazooka, rocket launcher, a sticky bomb (thats sticks to the monster when they walk over it, then explodes), flamethrower, lightsaber, and a SNIPE BOMB!
The boomerang idea seen nice, and it would add to the balance the fact that it does a curve in air, so you would need to know how to aim to use it right. Also, it would be good to have a boomerang that, when chargged, get itens for you (so you can get those far away itens that gun puppies drop in separate untoucheable plataforms)(actually, all the boomerangs could have this feature while charged). Also, they could range from normal shots, to zigzag piercing, normal piercing, long piercing throw (probably with a small damage, because it would let you run from it to increase the time in air, maybe redirecting it to more targets), multiple boomerangs (megaman X feelings), and bomberangs (ha! henshin a gogo), that stay some seconds at whathever they hit, them explodes back to the owner hand, causing damage along the way.
I would just have to make a character named Sango then. =P
I would really love a feature that lets me kick those little copter chickens around.
and be swarmed by then after that, letting all your crown fall on the ground? >_<

I was thinking of how nice boomerangs would be to have. there could be simpler boomerangs like the basic one could be thrown and bounce back real quickly once it hits something and pierce through enemies when charged
there could also be a boomerang that looks like a mechanical snipe too which could be thrown in a round arc or something as apposed to a regular forward throw.
