In a update post, nick said that brinks would no longer be selling mat's for boss tokens upon release of the new gremlin dungeon. So, now once you get 2 antiguas, 25 tokens each, and 2 sealed swords, 25 each, resulting in 100 jelly gems spent, you can't use jelly gems for anything unless you want brute jelly armor that you can just make yourself. Same for almarian seals. You only need one blackened crest, 35 tokens, and one fang of vog, 50 tokens, 85 total, and I don't think you can really make the ancient plate mail, but who really want's that? You only need 30 snarbolax tokens to get everything there. The bosses now have less replay value for pretty much no reason at all. They better at least increas the weapons you can get for boss tokens, or mke some more alt alchemy paths for them. I just wanna know WHY they would take that out. Is there any real reason? I mean, when they doubled crafting costs, they had a point, a legitamete reason, but I don't see any sense in taking out boss token mat's.
Brinks wont have any materials for sale with boss tokens?
Yhea, I'd give up mat's for two more weapons per each boss token, but if not...
Well, once unbinding gets added, you can just sell them later. Not very exciting, I admit. You could also hunt UVs though that's expensive for anything besides Snarby's stuff.
Hello for the third time loneknight...
I don't think they will ever add unbinding. I guess you could go UV hunting, but Not for fang of vog, since it start's at 5*. I don't think you can buy a UV item from brinks, but they could add a "pay double price for absolute uv chance" or something.
Back to my other point, WHY the eff did they decide to do that? Just why?
You guys are just listing ways to cope with it.
My question is why are materials obtainable from mobs available at Brinks at all? They should be also removed from the other tokens and i hope that OOO will remove them at some point in the near future.
That's exactly what they are planning to do.
Remove materials from Token traders.
there are some items found only at brinks... some probably used for future patches too...
I think only rock salt is only found at brinks. But why take out minerals? It keep people from goin "gee, I got a sun silver! Let's put it on the market for inf money!" Plus, that makes tokens useless if you get everything else, materials you can just keep getting and selling. There is NO GOOD REASON to take that out, as far as I can see.
I like being able to buy materials for non-boss tokens. I've had some luck getting 5* materials, not of course not generally the 5* materials I actually need for the gear I'm building. I have two silverweaves, two volcanic irons, two primal ores, a sun silver, and a reaper rib, but of course the only 5* material I need at the moment is everfrost. I'm glad that, with enough playing, I can certainly find the spark tokens to get that material even if my recent luck with tier 3 drops has kept me from it.
Boss tokens don't need to be tradeable for materials, especially since those materials can be had for other tokens, but I wouldn't want to see all materials taken away from Brinks.
I guess you caught me. Boss tokens arent that needed for materials, but why take them out? I'm just curious as to why they would cut that off. It dosen't make sense, or halp anything at all. Regular tokens on the other hand, NEED materials for sale. But if they DID cut that off, it would be to mae people get trinket's, to make people get trinket slot's, to make people buy CE. THAT would be REALY low.
And STILL NOBODY has answered my question ; WHY TAKE SOMEHING AWAY IF IT DOSEN'T HURT GAMEPLAY? Seriously! At least with the fire nerf, there were people complaining about it, and items needed to be bound after alchemy to get people to actuualy play levels, but this? There isn't any reason for someone to even THINK of taking away minerals from brinks!
Because it doesn't aid the game either. You shouldn't be farming bosses for mats. Makes the list shorter as well. There was no point in having them the first place.
I highly expect they will be adding new items in place of the materials.
I think they removed it because players don't normally spend the precious boss tokens on something they can buy with normal tokens. Hopefully they will add some new items so I won't lose the interest of killing Jelly King.
Seems like a good point...
Maybe the developers took this into account and are planning to add some new items you can exchange for Tokens.
If they didn't... oh well, that'd be kind of bad...
