I just want to look pretty... :-(

I think the only thing I really want to ask fro is having an armor costume slot for shield. I'm a stickler for wearing full sets and if I go through the effort to craft it I would really love to wear it as an armor costume if it isn't appropriate for the dungeon I'm currently crawling in.

I understand this couldn't work for weapons as the different shapes and sizes determine the reach and range of attacks. Shields, however, are just aesthetic as armor. Even if I'm using something as small as a Swiftstrike Buckler masked by a Royal Jelly Shield it wouldn't make a difference to the block mechanic. All shields throw up barriers on block and his long they last are determined by the shield equipped. This is no different from the Armor/Armor Costume relationship.

So to reinstate my plea: Please OOO, let me look pretty! How is the King of Jellies supposed to run t3 without his beautiful shield in tow? :-(

This is obviously the biggest

This is obviously the biggest crisis in all of Spiral Knights. Yet here you all are arguing about ENERGY and CROWN SINKS. You should all be ashamed!

I can't believe it...! Someone with some sense in this forum!
You got my support man! Mostly because of your second post, but yeah, a Shield Costume Slot would be totally awesome.

The second post was supposed

The second post was supposed to be a joke. This whole topic is supposed to be a light-hearted request for a neat aesthetic addition to the game. Calm down kid. Learn to laugh!

Its called sarcasm, sir. And

Its called sarcasm, sir.

And yeah, I do want to second this suggestion, purely because most of the stuff I craft now are for aesthetics, and anything useful would be masked by those.

I mean...I like how Vog Cub gear and Barbarous items look together. And don't want to be carrying a shiny owl around.

implying implications

OP thinks that cosmetics are more important than economic disruption. I disagree, yet you guys think I'm the stupid one?

Sarcasm cannot be told through text on the internet. Only with sarcastic voices. Look who's even dumber than OP for thinking he could be sarcastic with text.

Honestly I would have supported this thread if OP didn't bump this thread with that idiotic second post. Besides, it's against the rules to bump threads.

Only people that can't tell

Only people that can't tell sarcasm through the internet imply that argument. I also never seriously said that this was more important, only poking fun at tightwads like yourself who take posting on a F2P MMO message board seriously. Thankfully for the rest of us we know how to laugh.

I'm personally excited for you to post in here again. I love watching people embarrass themselves! Oh, and thanks for ruining a completely innocent thread. :-)

(See that? That's sarcasm!)

Shield Costume Slot xD!

Ren. More than stupid, people would probably think that you're a very narrow-minded individual. Rather than opting for the mature and constructive means of approaching the matter, you threw out accusations with only two viable options of your own choosing.

The worst part is the fact that both options provided by you were wrong. Just because sarcasm can't be told effectively through the net doesn't mean you can't put out the effort to read between the lines. As far as I can tell the man was just trying to throw some light humor into a suggestion he didn't want ignored. Yet you give him labels such as troll and stupid for it? Here's a man trying to speak out his opinion with some creativity and all you do is attempt to knock him down because you think he cares more about cosmetics then economic disruption.

You're right. You aren't stupid. You're a proud communist.

internet silly discussions are silly.

And then, the whole point of the thread was lost, just because a rage knight who apparently loves to talk about economy and crown sinks appeared and decided it would be fun to ruin someone's fun.
Again, my faith in "that part" of humanity (A.K.A. topics about energy and economy and crowns) was lost again.

@Topic:
Yeah I totally support this... oh wait I already said that.

I like this idea. Its not bad

I like this idea. Its not bad at all. It would also be epic to be able to level up items in your costume slots. I have some weak armor I would like to upgrade, but it is weak as cuss! Come on people! I cant be the only one thinking this!

Hmm, it should be enough to

Hmm, it should be enough to have costumes for what is visible in town. Or do you have to be sexy also when you are hunting in the dungeons? :) If only in town is enough (it should be), weapons would automatically be excluded and not a problem.

Personally I'd like to see some costume-slot-only items that doesn't look like armor at all.

I am talking just a shield

I am talking just a shield costume slot so I can beat stuff up in a full set without compromising my defenses. I like using the full Royal Jelly Set but the Royal Jelly Shield isn't exactly the greatest shield. It's all just aesthetics and I think it'd be a nice addition!

Weapon costumes would be pretty impossible on the flip side. Not that I suggested it in the first place.
