Unbinding an item

Sometimes it's a pain to get good items(like 5 star items) because you need to craft it yourself and cannot directly buy it from the market. You cannot buy it because sometimes when you upgrade an item, the item must have the "complete" (or a certain level) status and requires Heat to do so. To acquire Heat you need to equip it and thus the item becomes bound. (In short, some items must be bound to reach a certain state.)

So why not create an useable item that will let you unbound items? That way we can get items on the market that have already acquired heat and that are impossible to get without buying like 5 recipes and wasting like 1000 CE to forge >.>

Take it like a man, bro.

Really? Unbinding shop? Sound's like a nice way to make anything over 3* cost double price compared to it before binding. But I don't like the attitude people are having about this. I keep hearing:
"Oh nooo, I have to actuualy PLAY the game and LEVEL up my items to advance, but I don't WANNA becuase FEIND's are too HARD, and OOO need's andother 'Make everything weaker update' so I can have FUN and not CRY"
Grow up, you have to play through T3 for T3 items. I think the cost of recipies should just go down. 25k for 5star is too much when I also need to use 800 CE on it in crafting.

This. To a certain extent. I haven't been playing SK for very long. A week or two. I ventured into Tier 2 and got my sorry ass handed to me. But the "Make everything weaker so I can have fun and not cry," kind of sums it up.

I think the basic notion is this: To a certain point, -real- money can only get you so far in this game. I've played games where the microtransactions basically gave you a giant "win" button if you paid enough real money to get them. Let me tell you, it unbalances the game when you can drop 50 bucks on a microtransaction-based game and have a giant, "I win," button that it took other players that didn't have that option either in terms of game mechanics of money at that point a lot of time and effort to accomplish a similar level of ability (or worse, create abilities/items attainable ONLY through real money. Super "I Win" button.)

The fact that you have a 'revive' button means you have it easy. The fact that you didn't have to rebuy all your gear when you die means you have it easy.

/rant.

Two years of EVE has desensitized me to crying about insubstantial loss.

This game gives people

This game gives people willing to spend the $50 a HUGE win button here. Buy energy, sell a bit to get some crowns, buy recipes and materials off the AH, make 5* gear, win. The trip down to unlock tiers 2 and 3 will be no challenge.

In other words, real money can get you everywhere in this game.

I'm looking forward to the unlocking shop as someone who wants to make and sell 4* gear. I'm perfectly willing to make a profit off the people that don't want to go through all that themselves.

Trade is pointless

I'm not sure if I like the unbind idea, but I think there's a problem with crafting. It has to do with trade and market prices. It's fairly easy to craft something, for anyone. Also, materials are generally very easy to obtain. Therefore, crafted items are basically not worth anything on the market. Since items of a grade higher that 3 can't be sold, there's even less of a market. The UV bonuses aren't really that good either, so you might as well just craft it yourself. These problems just basically makes trade pointless.
