Am I the only one?
Who uses a keyboard and no mouse? (Except with guns sometimes [for a particular direction])
Well here's the gear I've acquired as a keyboard user: (3-4 star)
Shield: Solid Cobalt (3)
Armor: Solid Cobalt (3) Jelly Mail (3)
Helm: Elemental Hood (3)
Hanguns: Shadowtech Alchemer MK2, Voltech Alchemer MK 2 (in the making), Strike Needle
Swords: Blazebrand, Blizbrand, Silent Nightblade, Ascended Calibur
Bombs: no (3-4) atm...
And a few rare mats... I've sold most of them lol...

I use my arrow keys and z and x thats about it....I do have a gamepad which I will use most likely for pvp since it has quicker reaction for guns and movement with the joystick thing...
Once I move into my new place and get my other computer hooked up (9 days and counting!) then I will be trying my USB Rumble Pad. I hope it works well, if not I guess it's back to KB and Mouse for me.
I only use the touch pad of my laptop when there's nothing attacking me, and I need to shoot at a switch. Only down fall is the lack of angles which I have been able to work around for the most part, and when charging a bomb, I can only run in 2 diagonals, usually North East, and South West if I recall correctly, the others don't seem to work (really not sure why, it should all be the same shouldn't it?).

I use a game pad (to move and shield) and mouse (to aim and attack). Joystick movement > keyboard directions.
I only use keyboard for running around and shielding with spacebar, other than that I use mouse for attacking.

I always like to clickety-click, so I'm using my mouse.
Except for using arrow keys to walk when I have my charged attack ready, as I always release the wrong mouse button when walking with my attack charged :D
M1 for moving.
M2 for attack.
Scroll for weapon change.
Space for shield.
ZXCV for useable items.
Alt for HUD lock.
I only use arrow keys to move if I'm using a gun. Backwards shooting is very important.

ASDW to move, left mouse to shoot, right to shield, spacebar/mouse wheel to change weapons and mouse to aim.

Why does everyone who use a controller sound so elitist? Controllers aren't that good.

I use a controller but only because I'm pretty terrible with a keyboard, and using a MacBook, the touchpad is kind of .. not good for playing with. And since I already had the controller I didn't have to spend money buying a mouse. :P I have all my items and things mapped to it. A to swing, left trigger to shield, shoulder buttons for weapon scrolling, d-pad for potions/pillz. (It's an Xbox 360 controller lol. :[ )
Controllers are good for swordplay. They're pretty terrible for eveything else.

hi burrito! <33
But agreed; I will use my touchpad for careful aiming and such (especially with potions). Gunning is pretty difficult just because the control sticks are pretty finicky.
But a sword is just a gun with a really short range.
wasd
spacebar for shield
mouse
So many people look in the direction they are walking, how strange.
Backwards walking master race reporting!

I have auto-target on still, lol. ;< Gonna experiment with it off for a while.
I CAN aim while I'm walking forward, but once I let go the control sticks sort of "default" to up, down, left, or right, rather than the direction I was looking before. Kind of annoying! But as mentioned, I fix that by using the touchpad. If I'm in a pinch, I'll just move forward slightly. :>
Yeah, the straight line fire of guns just grows innacurate on a controller. Swords work just fine, though, because the attack in fans. It covers a lot of space.
Too bad SK doesn't have alterable control settings. :| Then I could put my shield on left click on the mouse, which would be perfect.

@Morpholomew: I think it does, been a while but I vaguely remember messing around with them when I first started
Back on topic: I use full keyboard, playing with calibur line swords and blaster series guns. Shooting isn't that much of a problem because the developpers thankfully put in a strafe button, so I can face one direction while moving all around allowing me to shoot something without too many problems.
You can map the keys however you want, actually! Just check your options. ;-)

I'll use the mouse to guide my player when I'm using swords and bombs swords, and then using Z and X to attack and shield, and when I'm gunning, I'll use WASD and the right-click mouse as my attack. I am rather suprised more people don't use the Z X buttons.
I originally played with keyboard and no mouse, but only for swords. I'd end up switching to keyboard/mouse whenever I wanted to run and gun.
The problem is I didn't want to have to switch back and forth. Now I play exclusively with keyboard/mouse. The only issues I see is when I lose my mouse pointer on a really busy screen and end up attacking in the wrong direction with my sword.
Just takes some getting used too. I wish the gamepad support was more reliable. It's not bad, but it feels a little flaky.
