CE market questions

I have 2 questions regarding how CE is bought.
1. Is the CE/crowns obtained from the "Trade" tab generated by the game or taken from another player? And if so, how does the player put it there?
2. How does the "Market" tab work? I've posted offers to buy CE, and they've worked, I'm just wondering how people accept the offers posted.

1. the crowns/CE from the
1. the crowns/CE from the Trade tab are all taken from other players.. that post their offers in the Market tab
2. the offers to sell or buy CE from the Market tab, are the values put on the Trade tab for people to buy, but will obviously only show the most value exchange.
tip: it's always better to use the Market tab, but it might take a while longer than using the Trade tab

The current best offer for both sides is displayed on the trade tab. (though sometimes it seems like it takes a few seconds to catch up for some reason).

so if you're buying energy then the lowest crowns per 100 energy is put on the trade tab
and if you're buying crowns then the highest crowns per 100 energy is put on the trade tab
you still get docked 2% tho
All CE in Spiral Knights was at some point bought with real money by a player. After that it started circulating, some of them played nice and sold it away cheaply, others just wanted tons of crowns instead, and so on.
I don't know how the Market tab works though, I just know how to work the market prices. :P
