So I'm guessing other people have noticed that Duskers look like Wolvers and Redwards look like Lumbers. I was told it was done in a recent patch, so I wanted to know if it's a bug or if it's intentional It seems a little boring to fight the same monsters over and over through all the tiers. At least the reskins made for a change of scenery.
If someone could point me to a bigger thread about it, I'd appreciate it. I haven't seen one.
I just went into T3 and what used to be Ash Tails now look like mini-Alpha Wolvers. They're ugly tbh. If they did put different skins in different areas, that would be cool. It'd make more sense. As it is now, though, it's ugly and boring.

I enjoy the new ones as well, I love their look - though I'm even more so excited because I can't wait to see where the Ash Wolvers and Giant Hatchet Constructs end up! Here's to a giant lumber facility burning down the forest... huh.

Some monsters have undergone a few visual changes in preparation for a big family reunion in the very near future.
Wolvers are hoping they look their best when the ash tails, frostifurs, voltails and rabid wolvers come knocking on their den.
And an internal memo from the Underworld also states that due to recent budget cuts, deviltes will now be required to share office space with firebranders, layoafers, devil-IT, and blarfuls.
Should be interesting.

Were the Ironwood Sentinels forced out of town because of the other Lumber's uneasiness around such large axes?
(Though the new Lumber also look like they have poison veins or something too...)

Are they just going to be names of the 5* wolver gear? Or are they going to actually exist?
And the T3 Wolvers weren't ash tails?
Vog cubs and skolvers will show up eventually.
T3 wolves used to be ash tails, now they're just T3 versions of wolvers.
I wonder if there's going to be more wolver gear with the advent of these new wolvers?
And it would seem weird to have Frostifur gear considering almost all Wolver gear has Ice resistance.

But I like the part where nick said "deluge of new monsters". Does this potentially mean... new levels?! :D Cactuscat and I were discussing where the Ash Wolvers might end up, and we both agreed that they would fit in a burned down forest or something :D So excited about new content!
And I think the Frostifurs bring about the possibility of a TUNDRA-like pack of levels. Whoo-hoo, snow time.
Additionally, an office building sort of level set comes to mind.
It's leaning towards the brink of a stretch, but going by what nick said about the Devilites...

I for one welcome our new monster overlords!
In particular, entire crafting trees are rendered untestable due to artificial material rarity. (Think perfect snowballs, thunderballs, everfrost, etc) Seeing new levels as sources of these materials would be splendid.
(Devil-IT? Seriously- I just love the names of those monsters. Greatest theme ever.)
Awesome. I have been waiting for more variety. Seems there are a LOT of new monsters in the files.
Time to craft some wolver set. Well, actually I'll craft it after I start playing again or something like that.
Also, that snowy screen needs some lumps of snow on the floor and over the crystals.
As for the new monsters, I really like the new lumbers.
Haven't seen the wolvers.
The puppies MK3 look kind of odd compared to 1 and 2 though, I don't really dig the new design.
Edit: Hahaha, oh wow, seems like the new devilites will have angry faces.
Speaking of devilites, I want one of their angry face bombs.
They look way cooler than the bombs we can get now.
Maybe the older skins will be used in different dungeons. I can imagine going around in a burned down clockworks and finding Ash Wolvers popping out. It's just a guess, though.
But yeah, I do wonder why they changed the monster skins... >.o
