Just keeps saying "you've been disconnected from server"... is there a maintenance going on or is there something wrong with my game? *I usually play on my steam account but this also appears when I try to log on from the website*

Getting this error, too. It's probably maintenance, but I'm not sure because they would tell us if that were happening, right?

I was having the same issue...

I was having the same problem and after reading some posts it appears this has happened in the past and most people effected are using linksys routers. I just unplugged mine and directly connected to the modem and now I am able to log into the game.

Nothing else seems to work

Nothing else seems to work for me. I added port exceptions for the game servers and firmware update. Only thing that seems to work was removing the router from the picture.

Oh no. Not this again.

I went through this the first time it happened, and it's happening to me again. The only difference is that I'm now connecting through Steam. What we ended up doing then was e-mailing tech support. Chances are, they'll ask you to e-mail them the log files titled "launcher" and "projectx". (Their icons resemble .txt files.) IYou can find them at C:\Users\[YOUR USER NAME]\AppData\Roaming\Three Rings Design\Spiral Knights but I wouldn't put them in the attachments until/unless they ask. And whatever you do, DON'T try to modify them yourself!

Other than that, it's just about sitting and waiting.

Someone mentioned using something to flash your router, but it's only recommended as a last-ditch effort, given the high risk it poses of bricking the router.

The good news is that TR's

The good news is that TR's tech support is pretty speedy about looking into the problem, so we shouldn't be locked out for long. It just means we have to fill our waiting time with actually doing all the stuff we were hoping to put off by playing SK. XD

can't log in

This happened several weeks ago after a big patch. I couldn't login for over 2 weeks. As I understand it this is at least the third time this has happened. I don't get why those with certain routers are always left out every time there is a new patch.

Ok, someone on the Steam

Ok, someone on the Steam forums posted a potential fix, and we need a few more confirmations to make sure its consistent.

To solve the issue with Linksys WRT54G (Firmware Version: v8.00.8):
1-Access the router page (like http://198.168.1.1)
2-You will see the tab Setup, sub-tab Basic Setup
3-Change "MTU: Manual"
4-Change "Size: 1458"
5-Click the Save Settings button

omgitsb3n: I guess I'm done

omgitsb3n: Dude. Language. I'm sure you can find a better adjective to express your frustration.

Starlin: I'll get my tech support master of a brother try it and get back to you. I'd do it myself, but he's the one who knows pretty much anything and everything about our router setup. He's like the gatekeeper of routers.
