I was wondering if I could buy and offline version of the game. It would be more stable and less laggy, free updates would be nice, I'd say 20-30 dollars would sound great with free energy? IDK...

I would just take a current online character and download him for my offline game, the online character would still exist online, but I wouldn't/might not be able to re-upload him back, so I don't cheat by upgrading really fast, and then play online.

The energy market price would be half of whatever is on the online version, I don't mind paying like 5, etc dollars a year, to stay up with that.

All updates with randomness and stuff could be changed like in the game FATE.

If I wanted to play with a friend (who had an offline base), I could still connect with him, since the server still exists.

Mailing and trading can be restricted, it would be up to the devs...

These are just some ideas, Please leave replies below.

Well, not fully offline, I

Well, not fully offline, I just hate the lag, that's all. I know it is a bad idea, but the reason I join in the first place was I would be able to play a game with my brother while at college during my free time.

Maybe you would have to link

Maybe you would have to link it up to your online profile once and a while

try working out the lag instead of suggesting that, go into the tecnical support and see if they can work your problem out

"you want to play an mmo,

"you want to play an mmo, offline? nice idea" Spiral Knights is less of an MMO than the Diablo 2 ladder, since it's based more on skill and less on gear. And some people do enjoy Diablo 2 offline, believe it or not.

Offline, with LAN support?

I think the OP wants an Offline version with LAN support.

I'm worried this might make it easy to dissect the game and create user-run online servers.
