I think we should have an appraisal thread. Since nowadays we are inundated with requests for price checks. Why not have an ongoing appraisal thread? A place to post our numerous pricechecks, remove some clutter, and serve a community function... all at the same time.

If everyone used it, it'd be great. if not, well, then this topic would quickly be dead and buried like any ignored topic. If it does gain some steam, it'd be nice if some of those who have mastered the buy low and sell high phenomena could add there two cents as experts. people like exum, rice, syor and eeks in all things bomb related, etc....

We could set a baseline for the worth of some RARE (but not so rare) items. Such as owlite: shadow/elemental high/max. Wolver high/max. Caliber CTR/ASI high max. Various enemy specific weapons (vh XXXXXXXX). Just as a way to acknowledge the market, set the market, and homogenize the market. Of course, i'd comletely understand if those players well-versed in individual markets don't wish to share their expertise, for fear of giving away their competitive advantage (knowing the worth of things).

But it would be nice to have a general, vague, precedent in place for various items. If for nothing else, to move away from price check threads, and move towards a more efficient economy.

p.s. i know, before some smarty pants posts about things being worth various amounts at various times, this would just give us a general guideline to go by. And a place to point people towards for "Frequently asked questions," 'hey guise i just crafted a med/high/vhigh haze bomb....price check?
