lol that happens sometimes but its not that bad, especially if you have elemental defense :D I think its best to let it get to the middle and start to run through so you can take the hit and get moving to the side where they're not shooting (shield is meh)
Well... there's 2 ways to stop it:
1. Not letting the turrets lined up like that in the first place by killing them properly
2. Just run through... A lot of times people would try to shield through fires/spikes/mobs/vanaduke fire balls/etc... when they can RUN THROUGH. The game has a built in immunity mechanic where if you reach a threshold of a certain amount of damage, you drop your shield, or your shield simply breaks, you become immune to all damage for a short period of time. Ever wonder why sometimes you take a massive hit, your shield breaks, and you still have 1 hp left? YUP.
By keeping your shield up and attempting to shield through the impossible, all you're doing is slowing down your escape and invite the inevitable death. Sometimes it's worth taking half your hp bar or even 3/4 of it to get out of near guarantee death situations. The best example I can think of is when people try to keep their shield up while trapped by vanaduke or a trojan in a corner. It's better to just tap your shield to push the trojan away or simply dash through vanaduke's fireball (following their rotation path).

Had that happen to me the second time I encountered the twins.
At first, I was like "WTF HAX?! >:U"
And then I was like "OMG IT BURNS!!1!!1 @_@"
And then I was like "X_x"
Good times.
Happened to me the first time I fought them.
I just shielded it while moving the opposite direction they were headed.
shielding isnt impossible, just run to the end wher the laser is almost over, if my swiftstrike buckler can handle it without me losing health, then all of most peoples owlites can do it with ease
i agree with #8, and that's what i think its the best, not running trough cuz the lasers slow u down, sit next to one of the gates and just shield, u only get hit by one of the 5 lasers and for a short period of time
