I don't use keys that aren't
I don't use keys that aren't on the bottom row to play games. And I can move just fine as it is. Besides, in addition to me finding WASD extremely uncomfortable, it doesn't work anyway since I use a left handed mouse.
This shouldn't be left bugged just because some other setup is more widely used. :P
Why are you using the strafe keys at all??
Use WASD to move, and mouse buttons to attack..
And now you can attack in ANY direction.. just move the mouse pointer towards your target, and attack :D

The Strafe key should be removed.. really..
