Alrighty, you probably read the topic header, and if you didn't... why the heck are ya here, huh? Go on, go for a walk in the sun; it's Summer for cryin' out loud!

Okay, I'm going to assume that anyone left reading this is interested in the coat, and I'm going to keep this really, really simple: MAKE ME A SERIOUS OFFER. I'm sure we all know what a serious offer looks like, yes? You can get in touch via this thread, or you can send me a message via my knight, "Spaulder." (No quotations, no period). Please, do not inundate me with in-game whispers and the like. I won't answer them. Just make your offer here, or through a message to my knight.

EDIT: Okay, after reading Backpack's and Tyrannus' posts, I've got a far, far firmer idea regarding the worth of this particular item, so I can put a definitive price on 'er.

Wolver Coat - Maximum Resistance to Curse
2,000 Crystal Energy O.B.O.

YET ANOTHER EDIT: Y'know, I've decided to put my money, rather than my foot, where my mouth is (read the rest of the thread), sooo...
1,250 Crystal Energy O.B.O. for the Wolver Coat. Definitely lower than the one and a half thousand they go for on the low end, I'd say.

FINAL EDIT: Tyrannus, even if you're interested, don't bother making an offer.

Three thousand crystal

Three thousand crystal energy, eh? Not too bad, not too bad. I'm sure you won't mind if I wait a little while to see if anyone else wants to jump at it, but, honestly, I think most players are paying waaaay, waaaay too much for some of these items. Hell, I just came across a few auctions where similar items were going for ELEVEN THOUSAND crystal energy. Folks, that's effectively twenty-five bucks, if you're buying it from Three Rings, and hours upon hours upon hours if you're playing for your energy. Honestly, three thousand sounds reasonable to me, but I'm going to try for maybe three and a half or four. Remember, folks, if you're gonna keep on with paying these ludicrous prices, folks are gonna keep charging you ludicrous amounts to play your game. Show some restraint when it comes to your bidding; do it for all of us. Twenty-five bucks... sheeeeesh. XD

and your asking for more, i

and your asking for more, i was being nice by offering 3k - the set is so specific, its only use is a faust set... not to mention theres more than 3 floating around right at this molment, have a chance to get one for in the range of 1-2k CE (and one not on the forums too)... so just the same maby ill just buy mine cheaper now....or not atall casue you kinda soured me on the interest, i also know very well i can get one off the AH for cheaper too, i dont understand peoples greed sometimes, he was even excited for the 3k until he decided he COULD be greedier if the demand was high enough, that crap gets real old...

enjoy your curse piece :P i retract my bid...but hey, this should make you happy, im showing Restraint! :P

Have a good one...

*Shrug* Good for you, pard!

*Shrug* Good for you, pard! If you don't really need it, don't buy it, and if you can get it cheaper, go for it! The economy needs to be driven down a notch, regardless. If I can't get rid of this, my wife or myself will simply use it. No loss. Seriously, there are people willing to pay ten to fifteen bucks for maximum FIRE RESIST pieces at this point (yes, I saw your 11k bid, hence my earlier statement), and it's doing nothing for the game's economy, save for encouraging sellers in ramping up prices to the nth degree. Also, thanks for the price check, as I wasn't really sure what an item like this typically goes for. From the sounds of it, anywhere from one to two thousand is reasonable. And you have a good one, yourself! 8D

EDIT: And please, please don't be pissed, Backpack. Honestly, it wasn't an atta-- Well, okay, it WAS a bit of a, uh... jab... at some folks' spending habits, but I'm really hoping that at least a few people DO read this, and that they at least consider tweaking the way they play. I'm not saying that there's really a right way or a wrong way of going about enjoying a game (really, I'm not), but I do believe that folks should be a little more conscientious when it comes to monitoring their spending habits when it comes to... the above mentioned game. I mean, why offer three thousand when you bloody well know it's "worth" half to a third that? I've no doubt that you were being nice with your offer (and it was appreciated... at the time), and I've got no doubt that you're a decent fella for having offered it (really), but why the heck would you pay more than you absolutely have to? It just (like you said) encourages people to drive their prices up ('cause, trust me, everybody starts out by assuming that they've been low balled). And I do appreciate the price check, I do, just try not to be all sarcastic about it, eh? There's really no call for that, even if you were somewhat offended (I apologize if that's the case).

well sad enough, i had made

well sad enough, i had made more money than i ever needed, so i was bascially buying [crap] that i might have a use for later, but in the larger picture, just spending money, usually im lookin for people who are new to the game, maby dont have much CE to work with, 3k would easily give you plenty to work with, im not pissed by any means, i just think your frekkin nutz, do you want CE or not? my god, complain, be greedy, complain about bein greedy, then turn around and ask less than offered.... sigh... why cant a piece i really want come avail like that, make some gear people want if your gona sell it for a fair price! :P

also you have to understand auctions/bidding/offers have a psychology to them, larger numbers scare people away, smaller numbers call in rebidders, ect, sometimes people will offer their top amount just to hope noone else will follow, while others will try to get the cheapest but may end up with 10 people rebidding that will go much higher in small incriments than if thye had to do it all in one block (ie its easier to let go another 500CE on a 9.5k rebid cause you already accepted the loss of the last 9.5k bid, than to put up a solid chunk 10k at once) - sometimes its good to use all types of psychology of bidding cause not every one will help you in every situation, all depends on the people your "playing" against... this is also why most auctioneers will tell you to always start with a very low starting offer - you get ALOT of possible bidders who "let go" a little bit at a time and slowly raise the price well past what they woulda paid straight up...sometimes 3-4x....

just wait til you get some CE and start lookin for your premium gear and have to deal with all this "crap" and you will quickly see it all get realllly old, you just wanna buy your [crap] and be done with it....

BUT i highly agree with the not selling to specific resalers -- i dont care for that on the forums, prices are indeed high enough to not need a group of people buying every item only to raise the price.... i can only assume thats why you said he (Tyrannus) is not welcome to it heh...

although doing it once or twice to get self sufficient isnt that bad, its the people who continue to do it nonstop that you just wanna strangle

Fair enough, Backpack, fair

Fair enough, Backpack, fair enough. Trust me, though, I'm not really new to the game, and I've got more than enough energy and crowns to keep me in the black. It's just... man, dude, I can't wrap my head around folks spending upwards of twenty-five (or more) dollars on these items. I crafted everything I use, and am still crafting to date (so it's true that I don't have too, too much experience when it comes to dealing with the actual marketplace and the prices therein), and I'll promise you this, if you leave me your in-game name, I'll give you first dibs next time I craft something special, AND I'll offer it at a TRULY fair price, 'cause you seem like a decent guy, rather than some scabby reseller. And I can see how you think I might be a little nuts, but when I first showed up in the bazaar (yesterday) and saw the prices these bloody things were going for... my jaw damn near fell off of my face. So, Backpack, if you happen to read this, seriously... leave me that name and I'll do you a solid. Didn't mean to ruffle your feathers, broseph.

Also, the coat is SOLD. A little fella/gal by the name of Mallet needed one for use with their Faust set up. Snagged it of of me a little more than four hours ago in-game. Final price: 950 CE. I know this player is getting some use out of it right now, as I helped 'em out with a couple of runs after they purchased it, and they were wearing/leveling the item at the time. More than fair, I think.

Sorry, Anri.
