Please. Or at least dragging your cursor off the button cancels it upon release. I've caught myself a few times mid-misclick:
*Realization* *Hold down mouse button* *Drag cursor off selection* *Eyes close* *Grimace* *Bead of sweat* *Release mouseclick*
