Here I'm talking of equipments below 5* which already have a variant. I've simply heard some friends saying it but there's no way I could confirm wether the following thing happens or not: while upgrading an equipment which already has a variant to a higher * level, can the variant it has increase level as well? (I mean randomly)
If anyone can confirm wether its true or not, thanks. WIKI won't mention that so I assume its false but I'd rather be sure, I don't craft that often.

UVs don't get a chance at
UVs don't get a chance at improvement when crafting. You can either keep your UV as-is when upgrading or try for a new UV. Most of the time when you try for a new UV you'll instead end up with no UV at all since the occurrence of any UV is not common.

My friends who got their UVs "improved" probably unticked the "keep UV" box; lol, both clumsy and lucky of them I guess!
Well, if you choose to get a new UV, there's always a chance that you can get a better UV.
..But the most likely thing that happens is that you lose the UV altogether lol.
