Longer Dungeons and mini bosses

I was just thinkin and I thought it would be cool if the dungeons were bigger and more puzzle based.
SpiralKnights often reminds me of the old school legend of zelda, so I thought maybe it would be cool to have the dungeons more puzzle based
and at the end of the dungeon you would have to fight a mini boss, to obtain a key to unlock the door where the crystals are so we can mine them and move on.

what'd ya think?

Mini bosses should drop the area tokens, the primal/forge/grim sparks.

The first thing is what should these mini-bosses be like? plain amped-up versions of normal enemies? weaker versions of actual bosses? What?
And of course there is the problem with what should they drop/ how should they be implemented?
If you can figure these 'niggles' out, then it will become an even more viable idea.
