When i first started playing SK (which was like last week), i picked up the Cobalt and Wolver sets relatively fast.
however, i have taken quite a fancy to shadow-resistance armor/helms and shadow damage weapons. i know, i know, almost everyone uses the Gran Faust lately. so, besides the Faust line, what kind of weapons/helms/armours do you guys reccomend?

currently, i own

a skelly shield/defender
a skelly suit/ cobalt armor/wolver suit
an (unmade) skelly mask/cobalt helm/wolver cap

and like, six two star swords.

i'm planning on reaching the sinister skelly set, and eventually making acheron from my brandish. and possibly a umbra driver.

so, any suggestions?

What do you want suggestions

What do you want suggestions on?

Weapons that deal Shadow damage are the Gran Faust, Acheron, Graviton Vortex, Umbra Driver, Biohazard, and Sentenza (from the ones I know off the top of my head) the Sentenze deals dual type damage though of Piercing and Shadow.

As for armor I think its only the Skelly line and Angelic Line. There is the Elemental line's Chaos Cowl and Chaos Cloak but they don't have Shadow resist. The problem with the Skelly line is that a Fire resistance like that will mean that fire will absolutely slaughter you. The Chaos set has a lesser negative Fire resist and gives a damage bonus to all weapons but also adds in other negative resists. The set of the Fallen gives you terrible damage against Fiends and will punish you for ever using a Gran Faust but also increases the attack speed of all your weapons while giving you Fire resist.

As far as I know the only shields that give Shadow defense are the Skelly Shield and the Crest of Almire.

Cool look!

My costume at the moment is Sinister Skelly Helm with the Dread Skelly Suit. I look all dark and spikey. I didn't go Dread on the helm though since I don't care for the horns.

I'd suggest adding a Graviton Vortex so you have a shadow-dealing bomb too. It will combo nicely with the Acheron charge attack. (I do this myself in slime danger rooms and during JK runs.)

You should consider diversifying your armament though. Focusing primarily on shadow weapons is going to be problematic in Undead and Fiend areas. If you get a CIV it is still rather dark with the chains and all.

ty, @yoshipatrol and culture

@yoshipatrol, i dont plan on ever using the faust series, even though i've heard it's strong. i may go with the Fallen Set and just give myself a piercing weapon and hope that i kill them before they kill me.

@culture, i dont actually like how the skelly sets look. i dunno, but i guess i'm going to costume myself with cobalt stuff. i dont like using bombs myself, because theyre kind of too slow for my fighting style. i was planning on, meh, an Acheron and am Argent Peacemaker or something.

thanks for the help, though!
