Idea Timed/Survival Boss Fight

Swarm type boss.monster type could be anything really I originally thought Lichens…

Basic idea is that Alpha Squad discovered Lichens are more intelligent than thought, and are more aggressive. They not only attack Spiral Knights on sight and merge to become stronger but have begun organizing the,selves while being led by a mysterious new type of Lichen. (potentially another boss down the road?)

The fight is on a large mobile platform/train. It is a timed/survival fight as players will see the clockworks go by in the background with animations of spiral knights battling in the background. Players must maneuver on the platform to avoid not only attacks from the Lichens but pieces of clockworks (telegraphed obviously) that can randomly be passed and knock our heros around hurting them…and the Lichens as well.

Lichen types will vary and the front of the platform/train must be reached before the timer reaches zero…

I'd be up for that but it

I'd be up for that but it seems like there'd be no middle ground, it'd either be too easy or too hard. We also for the most part have a survival battle in the Roarmulus Twins. The only thing that would completely make it a survival battle is if you couldn't hit the twins with your weapons at all, thus leaving it all up to the missile fire.

Since we already have a Slime boss it may as well be a bunch of crazy Devilites running around, throwing all their office junk at you. Another thing that'd have to be added is some kind of quota of monsters you have to defeat so that you can't just Shivermist everyone and run behind them. Unless there's some other way around it.

Well it be like room by room

Well it be like room by room clearing within the time limit was my thought...so you can't shivermist and run past unless you kill the monsters first. basicly X number of rooms that are a bunch of big battle rooms wtih increased difficulty and monsters don't drop items so you have to make do with what you bring.

we have a slime, beast,

we have a slime, beast, fire/undead, and a construct boss i would prefer them to make the other monster family bosses before this like a gremlin or fiend boss

I agree.
Possibly a T3 Gremlin boss and a T1 Fiend boss? (Except then both T1 bosses would be weak to pierce.. )

well i always thought the gremlin king was in the core and the fiend boss (please let it be the Devilite CEO) for T3

Like I said

I originally thought Lichens, but any monster type fits this boss scenerio...I just wanna push the idea of a timed fight. I think it would be fun having to clear room to room as quickly as you can and then fight the boss before time runs out.

Everyboss thus far has been too easy or too hard. THat's the nature of MMO type games bosses are only a challenge till you get better gear and learn their strategy. When I first tried the Jelly King I thought it was impossible the group was in 2 star gear and had no idea on how to fight the king we were just kinda trying to kill everything...then I learned how to fight him and got all my 3 star gear and it was a huge difference I laugh at how easy he really is. And now as I start collecting 4 star gear it's even easier.
