Drake scale/Bushy tail isn't too bad for selling on the AH. Just make sure the prices are at over 500.
Why? Because they cost 5 tokens each and if they're not selling for that much (basically 100 per token) then you might as well save up for whatever random 100 token primal spark trinket you can get, so you can sell it to the NPC for 10000cr.

Usually warp dusts. Sometimes I save up for 5star mats but they're kinda cheap so I try and focus on warp dusts.

Sell trinkets at 100 to NPC for 10k crowns, all the mats that sell decent the best you get is approx 10k anyways for the equivalent of 100 tokens.

Went with piercing resistance, now that that's a thing that is useful to have, and all.

I no longer know. I've spent 600 Primal Sparks to get two of all the 5* trinkets, aside from buying materials for profit I have little use for the buggers.

To be honest I don't understand why you wouldn't get the trinkets anyways. Even if they're broken now, OOO isn't just going to leave them useless if they are and when they fix them guess what? I'm going to be ready with all the defense trinkets and all the status trinkets. And you'll have just earned some measly amount of crowns.
Seriously, trinkets are, theoretically, very strong. They allow you to improve a caveat in your equipment set-up depending on what stratum you're going into.

I'm actually having trouble
I'm actually having trouble getting these damn things. Used to just trade them for crafting mats until I realised I wanted a Jelly Band: I don't often need to block piercing and I'm fed up of being nailed mid-run by a single spike from a lichen-colony that comes from offscreen before I can react.
The earlier run of gates has been short on beast levels, but the Jelly King gate now has a T2 beast tier... they've been surprisingly hard to get hold of.
Still, only 20 more or so to go, then we'll see if that piercing trinket helps at all.

The reasons why I don't get
The reasons why I don't get trinkets is because I am not paying 250 ce just to be able to use one trinket. Just isn't worth it to me when I can do everything else without them.

- Depending on how strong they actually are, other equip sets might be more efficient
- You don't already use Heart Trinkets, which serve a much more practical purpose

The only assumption that I believe I'm making is that there won't be another trinket that gives more shadow defense than say, the 5* shadow defense trinket. And likewise for the other defense trinkets and the status resist trinkets.
Essentially I'm assuming they will be the best trinkets at doing that one thing.
