I was playing a level that had required statues placed on trigger plates for the first section. Once solved, the statues weren't needed and I decided to take one with me. I was disappointed that there was no use for it further on save as an impromptu shield. I think it would be good to have the occasional level where there was a statue puzzle at the beginning and a bonus area at the end that needs the statue from the start.

how about sometimes the

how about sometimes the statues became monsters you had to fight to gain access to an area

ex. a puzzle requiring 4 statues on 4 pressure plates... you place the statues on those plates only to find the plates weren't rigged to anything instead where what activates the statues, changing them into monsters you have to fight to gain entry

RE: monkeyman135

I geuss that you are referring to the Gun Puppys, yes?
Also I beleive that alongside the 'bonus area' statues, there should be a duneon based around the statue(s). It could be like an escort mission; except the person your escorting can't move without your help, is technically invulnerable (Could come into play as you having to strafe with a statue to block fixed bullet-spewing traps), could unlock alternate routes/ areas, and there is more than one (after you have used one before to hold open a malfunctioning gate or something).

There is a level in the Scarlet fortress where you have to escort a statue a fair distance through gun puppy fire and spike traps. Pretty annoying overall having to shoot puppies and go back for your statue.

That's true. But what if the puppies only fired from ones side? And the statue was indestructible? That way, through strafing whilst looking at the puppies, you could protect yourself using the statue as mobile cover. and the gun puppies could be a special variety. Indestructible ones used only as puzzle elements.

I think a pressure plate

I think a pressure plate puzzle where the party becomes divided by solving it could be a lot of fun.

@Freef The problem with that

@Freef

The problem with that is a puzzle has to be soluble by 1-4 players. You can't divide a team of 1.
