Which weapons and armors can be crafted and sold for profit?

I feel like crafting and selling things for profit.

Is it possible to do so, even when CE costs 6k per unit? And if so, what are some good items to sell?

Hey Entrepreneurs....how do you make your money, exactly? I'd like to know, that way i can start doing the exact same thing thus eliminating any small profit margins you might be enjoying.

Sorry for the sarcastic rant, I am aware it is the lowest form of humor, but........ uh ....... yeah.

All of these can be made with only 50 energy, which means you could use mist energy and would make profit. However, I believe the OP's talking about more starred items that would cost CE, and still make profit.

The short answer is no. I

The short answer is no. I only craft and sell 2-star items when I have no time to play, so my mist energy doesn't go to waste. Recently sold a spiral plate armor for 4k on AH, but that's not profitable with CE.

The long answer is it's theoretically possible with a 3-star item that doesn't require a 2-star item to craft, like a chroma suit or mask. The CE cost for crafting a 3-star item is equal to 12k crowns, plus another 1k crowns is required, bringing the total up to 13k. Depending on the item, you might only have to pay 1k-2k for mats. So you can probably craft some 3-star items for 14k-15k.

If you put it on the AH, that bumps costs by about another 2k, due to the 10% AH cut of your revenues. The AH cut hurts low-profit activities like this the most! That brings the total cost up to 16k-17k, which is what these kinds of items usually go for, and you get no profit.

Instead, don't put it on the AH, and find someone to directly buy it for 16k-17k, and you get a small profit. But honestly, the profit margins are so low that I wouldn't bother unless you are looking for a specific UV that nobody is selling in the Bazaar.

Just to help point out the

Just to help point out the logic and maybe let you break into some new markets or craft different stuff. Using mist energy to craft 2 star items at 50 ME is the most profitable way to craft, since you can sell UVs for higher and sell other items over cost and thus turn a decent profit. The reason calibur and brandish craft so well is that 1) they are popular and their UVs are in demand and 2) they both can be used whatever UV is spawned. I mean, some UVs are more valuable than others, but a calibur or brandish with high slime UV is much better than a flourish with high slime UV, get the idea? Don't craft something for sellable UVs unless it can benefit from most of the UV procs that will occur.

Armor is another good one to craft, especially wolver because people want it with all the other possible defenses on it. Something like Magic cloak would not be as ideal because most people craft that for the resist that are inherent in it already, not for the DPS boost that it provides (people pay most for UVs that help them offset the dps boost they get from wolver line). Along that line you could expect gunslinger of several UVs to sell well, although probably not piercing since you won't expect gunners to take as much piercing dmg.

You might also consider some of the shields, since it's hard for them to spawn with bad or inappropriate UVs. and I would avoid almost all guns, since they only usually target 2 of the 6 enemy families and thus almost half of your UVs will be useless out of the gate even if you proc a "Very High". This of course only applies to you if you are trying to play the odds for profit, not proc a UV for your own use.

Summary: Craft normal wpns, lines that can be upgraded for many dmg types, popular armor that boosts dps, shields are safe but not the most in demand.

Back in the day I used to

Back in the day I used to ragecraft Stone Tortoise shields and Vitasuit Plus armors for 6-8k profit a piece. I made a ton of loot and then the patch came and ended my fun :(

Yup. I remember when things

Yup. I remember when things were cheap, like when I got my silversix for 18k CR. Ah, good times, good times...
