Energy Balance - [No, I'm not complaining about the price increasing, but...]

I was thinking about the Energy market. Usually markets have up and down depending on the offer and demand.

I like the market concept however it seems is always goes up, and I would like to understand if ever going to drop down. I read other treads where has been said that on the beta the energy reached 20k per 100 units, and... it seems not good to me considered that I will spend 100 units to make a run that could make me earn around 4k to 7k, and already we reached 6k, which breaks even but also stops the dynamics of the game.
Also I read people complaining about people that pay for energy that set the price they want; I read that people are sitting on their crowns and that drives inflation and so on.

I believe that what OOO have done leaving the game free and have paid energy to play more is a good idea. If people wouldn't pay for energy OOO probably will stop improving the game, adding content and also going for losses - which isn't good.

The price is increasing so much because there are not much resources. There isn't much energy in the game. Energy is rare and price goes up.
Unfortunatly there is only one way to have more energy in the game - is to pay. All the energy gets constatly used for lifts, reviving, crafting and extra item slots. Once is used, no one can have it back.
Crowns in the other hand is generated in game. You play, you earn crowns. Moreover crowns are going from one player to another, when you buy energy from the market, when you buy items in the AH - and few goes out from the game when you buy recipe from Basil, when you buy low-level items from NPC and 2% - 10% loss in AH and market.

Crowns are balanced, energy is not.

OOO needs people to buy energy for them to keep developing, and user need to buy energy to keep playing and keep energy in game.

Now the suggestion:

1. We can only buy energy, and it was nice having a starting pack and a party pack in the beginning. I would say, OOO make some packs with unique items maybe when there are holidays and/or every season. Something different for $5 to $10 that goes along with some energy.

2. Have a very little amout of crystal energy from the game. For example crystals instead of paying in crowns are paying in crystal energy.

3. I haven't understood the point of having 3 character when all the energy is shared. If I play 3 different character I would never reach 5* equip for any of them. I do understand that crystal energy is shared, however can we at least have individual mist energy?

Thanks

it seems you did some

it seems you did some research

1. there was an event called Rose Regalia a few months back that provided a random piece of aesthetic armor with the purchase of a certain packet of energy. i believe it was successful enough for them to extend it further beyond the original time frame so i assume they will someday do something like this again

2. the grammar of this suggestion makes it hard to understand. regardless, if it's "if low on energy, do this as an alternative to using energy" no it will abused by the playerbase

3. the point of the sharing of energy is to prevent players from gliding strictly on mist energy. there is a way to change this simply pay once per knight and each knight gets their own mist tanks separate from each other. http://wiki.spiralknights.com/Energy_faq

I have seen the Rose Regalia,

I have seen the Rose Regalia, didn't know was one of the packs - glad that they are doing it, hope for more.

In the second point I was talking about minerals, and I wrote crystals. Anyway I ment that harvested minerals should be trade for energy instead of crowns.

I had another reflection on

I had another reflection on the CE flow.

When I bought 7500ce I while ago I did because I wanted to boost my equipment.
I upgraded four items from 3* to 5*.
I used about 4800ce in crafting and sold 340ce @ 5,000cr to earn 170,000cr which I used for recipes and alchemy cost.

I had no reason to sell more CE, in fact I used whatever else for lift and reviving. I believe this is the strategy of many therefore so much little energy flows in-game making CE rare over-time and keep increasing in price.

I might have not given the best solution, but I believe that CE has bad flow in the game.

ME is shared to each character is n't a bad idea.

i'm sure i know why the CE is needed and shared, the points of having ME is shared in the same computer. but NO IDEA why the ME is shared in a account when we can create 3 characters,

GUESSING:
i think if the characters have their OWN ME, u will gain around 5k pear character, and round 15 K each account.

EXPLAIN:
if the money and the items can't shared in a account. u COULD create another FREE ACCOUNT, and use 2nd character from the MAIN account and start to trade items and money to the 2nd acount and give back to the MAIN character of the MAIN ACCOUNT. u START to EAR MORE MONEY, STUFF, it won't be a good idea

The problem is, crowns aren't

The problem is, crowns aren't balanced. They're easy to get, especially if you're using crafting slaves, 3 dollars for doubling or tripling your crown income with alts is just wrong. Aside from that, there simply isn't enough ways to spend it, many people are content with a single set of 5* equipment, and then they start contributing to the inflation. What we need is more crown sinks, new ways to spend crowns that removes it from the economy. When the ratio if total amount of crowns to CE in circulation drops, When crowns are spent or CE is bought, the average cost drops. But besides the 10% auction fee, and a few other sucker deals, crowns are taken out at a pitiful rate.

Crowns need to sink. Sell the vendor equipment as bind on aquire, at a rate that's actually competitive with the AH. Sell vanity items, armor dye, personal color dye, modifiers to equipment, A guild hall that improves with heat earned by players, and built with crowns. Make mist energy unable to craft items, make those crafting slaves need to work for a profit.
