As the Wki said,
Gate Progress
Entrance to a subtown, the first levels of tiers 2 and 3, is only free for that gate if a knight has reached that subtown from the previous tier in a previous run. Clearance for free tier entrance is separate for each gate, so new runs from the top are required as new gates become active. Gate progress is shown on the Progress tab of the Character window; free entry is marked by a filled star, while paid entry is marked by an empty star.
Tier 1 - Depth 0-7; always free entry
Tier 2 - Depth 8-17; paid entry: 200 crowns
Tier 3 - Depth 18-28; paid entry: 500 crowns

so..
The free tier 2 entry need to to gained by playing through Tier 1..but once the gate changes,it need to be gained again, right?
or we have to pay 200 extra crowns for each elevator in Tier 2/3?

It's specific to each gate

It's specific to each gate -

You need to complete tier 1 in a specific gate in order to get free access to tier 2 in that gate, for example.

Also, the tier 3 fee is 500 cr.

Actually, the free entry is

Actually, the free entry is gained upon REACHING the subtowns, meaning you can join just outside the elevator heading down to the subtown and you'll still get it. And yeah, when the gate is rotated out and back in again, you'll have to either regain the free access or pay up.

Plus what Tenlki said.

oh,so..there is no need to play through every Tier 1? Cause the free entry will be gone with the gate gone after 8 days?

More like you don't have to

More like you don't have to play through all of tier 1 to get free access for tier 2. Same for tier 2 for tier 3 access. And free access to tier 2 and 3 resets when the gate you have access in is switched out. When it's switched back in, you'll have to do the run over again to regain free access.

In the end, it's your choice. If you plan to do lots of runs in a certain tier and gate, you can go for the free access or pony up some crowns to enter that tier. 200/500 crowns is nothing for a player who's already got most of what they want but for a newer player, it's crowns that could be well spent elsewhere.

200 and 500 everytime you

200 and 500 everytime you wanna play adds up tho, although on jelly king gate it doesn't cost anything for each tier.
maybe you have to do the whole tier from the lobby for the price to be removed? i have payed these gate fee's all before hence have the achievement.

the price is 200 still

the price is 200 still becuase you didn't beat tier 1 of the twins gate.

beating the twins makes it so you don't have to pay 500 crowns to gain access to tier 3.

200 crowns is easily remade

200 crowns is easily remade fighting t2, frustrating to pay each time I know, but you should still be turning a profit.

If you knew you were joining someone mostly through t1, it might be worth it to hop in and save the 200cr in future runs. Handy on a boss gate. On the other hand, consider that doing all of t1 costs 60 energy. That's 3k crowns at current prices! Plus 6 levels in t2 should net more value than 6 levels in t1. I just pay the fee, and keep smacking things.
