Thinking about swapping to becoming a gunslinger, but I want to check if I get my hands on a good maxed gunslinger set first (Gunslinger Sash + Cap).
These are the maxes I'm interested in:
Shadow, Elemental, Normal, Fire and Piercing. In no particular order.

I'm not really sure what they are worth, but I guess they're cheaper than Wolver maxes as the demand isn't that high. On the other hand I guess there are less people spamcrafting it. Anyone want to enlighten me a bit here?

I'm also buying UV'd guns. I'm looking for mostly VH's but I might go for Med ASI too. Post what you got =)

These cost about the same as wolver items if not more because they are only 3* crafting items.

It will take a while to get a hold of them, but I have seen the following uvs: Stun Max, Piercing Max, Shadow Max, Poison Max, Freeze Max.
So they do exist! I'm just letting you know because I've been building gear for a Gunslinger myself.

I won't lie... it takes a lot of money... haha... a lot, but it's worth it.
I'm only trying to give you hope to stick with this.

By the way, why Shadow Max? You can make a Deadshot set and have Shadow Def with bonus on undead. Well, it's none of my business, just trying to save you money.

Of course its your business, I was asking for advice (thanks for the ones you gave me so far btw!). Also, I thought the ASI from the set was handy, then I could save money by getting cheaper UV's on the Guns (ASI Med for example, or Very High vs specific monsters, which as far as I know is cheaper than Very High ASI). Also, the Deadshot set isn't giving Elemental defense which is quite handy.

Yeah.. if I had to guess I'd say the UVs are gonna be a tad bit more expensive since nobody really ragecrafts Gunslinger. I know a guy who got two Max UVs in a single day, but he equipped them both. Shadow and Elemental, iirc.

I myself have been using a mist alt to craft sashes, but at 1 per day (almost two weeks in) I haven't gotten a single UV, and I haven't found anything above sleep:med in the AH. :/ most gunslinger UVs go straight to the forums, since they're so rare, and I don't plan to shell out a few thousand CE (or closer to 15,000) just for a UV.

You should have contacted me about a week or two ago, unicornkitty. I had a Gunslinger hat with a High sleep UV that I put up on the auction house moments after I crafted it. :(

Either way, I'm crafting these hats on an on and off basis. If I get lucky with a UV, I'll be sure to inform you, Reactions.

Reactions why are you looking for very high or medium attack speed? Is that so you can mix in the +dmg gun armor with the +asi gun armor? If so, awesome plan :D You should also consider swiftstrike shield, which can max you with no UVs if you wear the right armor and let you get +dmg UVs instead. Or you can mix the +dmg armor and go with ultra attack speed of 1 piece of ASI armor + shield and instead max your dmges vs a certain class. Since gunslingers generally want to carry 1 gun per enemy set you can try to also get ultra damage versus at least 3 of the 6 you will meet. I also go for a different dmg class on my blitz needle and callahan so I one could actually get 4/6 although that usually requires a load-out switch during a terminal or something.

Nameless seems like the best. Then you'd only want medium on your guns I guess since it would be overkill to the extreme to get very high. Then again if you swapped out a piece of nameless for other resists or for bombs then the very high would come in handy :D

You don't like swiftstrike now.. but you don't realize how much you don't need to shield as a gunner ;) I mostly only ever bounce stuff everywhere except FSC

Highly recommend picking up

Highly recommend picking up that auto with VH attack speed reactions. It's the highest damage gun in the game if you max attack speed and wear it with the +dmg boosting gunslinger set. You can max attack speed with swifstrike or by wearing 1 piece of nameless if you get a VH ASI on it. Needle shot is the best option, as it does piercing. But if you already have one then Volcanic Pepper doesn't make the worst 4th gun slot weapon.

I really haven't considered an Autogun as I've always heard the Callahan is a way better Piercing weapon. Addittionally I do not really like the defense the dmg bonus gear gives :/

I have both and while

I have both and while callahan is good at sniping wolves and faeries it's not that great for greavers or trojans. The DPS is simply too low, takes a year to kill a trojan with a callahan. Also callahan is great for staying alive and not taking a single hit at all while dealing with danger rooms full of wolves and gremlins. But if you just want to plow through a pack or wolves and provide DPS for a hardy group while possibly taking a few hits you will want to pick up a blitz needle and load up it's attack speed (via armor or UV). Just my opinion from a little play time with both. Other gunslingers also opt to not use a piercing wpn at all and just settle for AP and Sent strains, as if you pack 4 guns you have just enough slots for that, or go for a normal dog variety.
