Is there a limit to how much of a sword attack speed buff you can achieve by stacking?

For example you can combine the Vog Cub Cap (Sword Attack Speed Increased: Medium) with the Vog Cub Coat (Sword Attack Speed Increased: Medium) to achieve Sword Attack Speed Increase: Very High (according to the wiki, is Very High accurate? or should this really be just High? anyways that's not my point).

What would happen if you then equipped a Swiftstrike buckler (Attack Speed Increased: High) along with the Vog Cub set (Sword Attack Speed Increase: Very High)? Would you get a crazy high sword attack speed increase or does the Vog Cub Set already increase sword attack speed as much as it can be increased?

Thanks,
Hellrazer

Yes you would see more

Yes you would see more improvement from Swiftstrike Buckler if you equipped it with Vog set.

However, the limit of any UV is Maximum!. If you used a Swiftstrike Buckler on top of Vog set, it would put you one point above Maximum!, therefore that point would be wasted.

Low - 1
Medium -2
High - 3
Very High - 4
Ultra - 5
Maximum! - 6

Medium is 2, so having the vog set on would give you 2+2, which puts your increase at 4 - Very High. At this point, you would need another Medium to reach Maximum!. Swifstrike Buckler would put the number at 7, and the cap is 6 so that leftover point is discarded. Swiftstrike Buckler isn't a recommended shield in Tier 3, so at that point you'd be better off getting an ASI Med UV on a weapon (although they're expensive).

Thanks for putting it in

Thanks for putting it in numbers for me. That makes it much easier to understand. Yeah, pretty much figured you would have to be a ninja to use the swiftstrike on tier 3.

?

How much increase would you see in a 2 swing or a 3 swing sword with full Skolver?

Full Skolver would be a Very

Full Skolver would be a Very High (4) boost. Each level adds approximately 5-8% to the damage (varies by depth and target weakness.) So Very High will give you about a 20-32% boost.

It seems to me that if you

It seems to me that if you want to maximize your statistics with Swords using a Swiftstrike, using a weapon with a UV of ASI - High would be optimal, if you can get one. Then you could use a Skolver set for Very High.

Or you could use the Vog Cub set plus a sword with UV - ASI Medium to get your Max ASI, and use the 5* Snarbolax shield combined with two Slash Module Mk II trinkets to get Max DI. Because the only UV being dedicated to this is your sword's, you can still boost your defense with UVs on your armor, helmet, and shield.

By the way, if you figure out how to get a Slash Module Mk II, please add it to the wiki.

The merchant, Rudkin, which sold the Slash Module trinkets (and the bomb/gun versions) isn't in the game. I think he was only around during the preview.
