did you guys can do a survey sistem to get free energy
example:
install a facebook ad and get 2 energy that will be awesome plz think about it
admin plz read i have an idea about energy
Is there somebody I can punch to make the energy threads stop.
Is this a problem I can solve with punching.
We won't know unless we try, Effrul.
Let's start with this guy. I'll hold his arms.
Nice one effrul/slyjohnny. A bit trolly, but credit is certianly put where due ^_^
And here I thought I'd get a nice paragraph about some exeptional idea. And I got a sentance and a half. Great. What would you use 2CE for anyway? They could say "connect with steam/facebook for a mist tank" but 2CE for allowing things like Ad's? No! That's terrible! Then nobody would get to put useful things in suggestions, becuse there would be too many "I clicked this and and now my computer has porn everywhere halp meh plz"
Too many people have trouble with the CE market. They need to learn economics a bit, as opposed to saying either:
1. Take it out.
2. Cap it.
3. Put in Ad's for CE rewards.
I don't want to sound like a jerk, but anyting simmilar to those three topics dosen't even merit a response. And that's that. Have a nice day.
Lol I did those free offer things on allods online and i did get some free stuff but LOTS of them were completely dishonest in what was required to get the points. Some of them you would do what they asked and you would still never get points but you would get the spam emails (By the time I finished with allods a month later I was receiving ~100 spam emails a day). You can get it all to work you just have to know what you are doing. Install all programs they provide in virtual environments and never give them anything that could be used to bill you (mobile phone, phone, address, full name etc.).
Hi., I'm Effrul and the rest of the, so called "Pro's". Can I has very hard game please?
Why should it be fair.
When, it can be so much harder.
It IS fair. Energy economy is not a difficulty issue, it's how their payment system works. It's a mechanism by which F2P players can get something for nothing, as long as they're willing to accept it in relatively small packages doled out on a daily basis. Sure, if you're bad at the game, you'll chew through that allowance faster - but it's freakin' free, dude. You did not pay for it. You're getting a very high-quality game for no money.
I will illustrate this debate with roughly analogous games, and talking ducks.
O< I wanna play video games all the time for no money!
Well, how you come over my house and play a game for an hour or so every day? >O
O< NOT GOOD ENOUGH I WANNA PLAY ALL THE TIME
Well, pay for it, guy, it's not a lot of money. >O
O< I DON'T WANNA
ad nauseaum
Gee, what's that need some forumers constantly have to bully the OP and start needless argues? If you don't agree, just pass you way.
Now back to what adfx03 said, I also suggested this idea in the past, but not on forums, for my application as GM for French. I think it is a very good idea, simply because its an easy way to both advertise the game and satisfy its players; besides, its just great to convince friends to join the game you play, even if its always possible to make good internet friends as well, of course.
So basically if Effrul could just skip the argue, it'd be great. Players are here to discuss the idea, not to hear any trash talk of self-claimed economists, pros, or whatsoever. THANKS.
Back in 2008 I tried one of them surveys to get cash for an online game. To this day they still send me spam every 2 days.
I ain't self-claiming anything; I didn't self-identify as a "pro", and I didn't even mention economy beyond "Energy is how Three Rings finances the game", which isn't exactly wizard-level economic theory; it's just...a fact. It isn't a difficulty issue, which is what Kesk was saying.
"Thoroughly disagreeing" is a form of discussion, dude. And come on, this idea comes up ALL THE TIME, and is always but always shot down. It's not something the community at large wants, it's clearly not something Three Rings wants, and it's incredibly frustrating to see it come up over and over and over, which is why people get snippy about it. Look at how many threads on the Suggestions board go "I like this game but why do I have to pay for Energy? That's just stupid." Suggesting that Three Rings turn to Facebook surveys - which are, pretty much universally, data-harvesting scams - is a terrible, terrible fix, and yet one that still comes up all the time. Admittedly, this idea is slightly different, in that it's essentially encouraging players to spam Facebook et al with ads by bribing them with morsels of CE, but if I wanted to play DopeWars I'd've said.
What it comes down to - what virtually all these Energy threads come down to - is that some players - which is to say, people who are using and enjoying Three Rings' product - are professing a desire for Three Rings to continue getting paid, as long as it's with someone else's money. Three Rings have quite clearly laid down the terms - you can play for free for this long. If you want more, either save in-game currency - which still costs no money, but takes a little while and demands an ounce of self-control with your spending - or give them some realbucks. Saying "what if I played for free for this long...then also played for free, without doing that?" is...not really a defensible position.
Always use a seperate email for doing those things...
Anyhow, puzzle pirates lets you do those pathetic surveys for Dubs. So I guess there is possibility.
Then just ignore Effrul. Not everybody wants to see their threads filled with essais by some players who simply disagree. I don't see how you can make 15 lines out of a thread that only contains 3. Besides, I don't recall OOO saying any word about this suggestion yet, I also don't recall it was possible to judge over half of dozen of players wether an idea is generally accepted or not.
Pretty sure Repair meant "separate e-mail" for Facebook surveys et al as a way to avoid spam (please correct me if I'm wrong, Repair).
The community attitude to these ideas can be gauged by the reaction to the hundreds of similar threads on the board - which is overwhelmingly negative. Three Rings' reaction can be gauged by the fact that they've got an extremely decent payment model in place and haven't implemented something like this, despite the precedent mentioned by Repair. And spinning a few lines out of a small OP is pretty easy when you actually intend to explain your position. Anything else?
1.- Offers are exploitable, people who know their way on this kind of things can get a ton of CE for BSing the sponsors, (yes I know this by fact)
2.- Narbs and "little kids" trying to get free CE from offers are victims of spam and/or some cell phone or subscription fraud
3.- In the end it will become a big headache to OOO for all the people raging about not getting their CE after they completed the offers.
4.- Getting a part time job or trying to get money IRL is much more quick and safe, it's summer, go do some chores for money to buy UGC.
If by surveys you mean working with lead-generation scam companies like superrewards, then no. Those companies are extremely shady and con countless unsuspecting people out of their money.
