i've already gotten an avenger and i think im getting the hang of it

and now with my jelly gems i was wondering what i should get next?

should i go for the sealed sword into a faust? or the antigua into silversix? also, since the silversix line does elemental dmg, isnt it redundant to use one alongside the DA? if thats the case, should i just disregard the antigua and go for a da/gf combo?

in either case, what sort of 3rd weapon would cover up my weaknesses best?

Antigua does not do

Antigua does not do elemental, it does split ele/pierce. It's not great, I'd go with Faust if I were you.

Antigua.

The look and sound of the antigua please me greatly. I'm not a slow sword user, so I'm biased against the Faust, but I like the antigua lines.

If you don't already have a

If you don't already have a gun lined up for FSC then the Argent Peacemaker (from Antigua) is a good choice. You'll want a fast and mobile gun to mow down zombies and take shots at Vanaduke during parts of the battle.

Go with a sword,

Go with a sword, piercing/elemental and piercing/shadow are rather a bad pairing. Both do semi-effective damage to only two monster types each, blackhawk to beasts and gremlins, silversix to fiend and undead (semi-effective as in one half deals effective damage, and the other neutral). Unless you really need "the best gun for FSC" i wouldn't touch antigua line at all, there is much better guns out there that provide better damage and better mobility and some utility even. And as for "also, since the silversix line does elemental dmg, isnt it redundant to use one alongside the DA", while its elemental its also piercing so it still deals ok damage to Undead but it will do only a little over half it's potential damage to Constructs.

EDIT: i had a spreadsheet for that actually, can't provide you hard percentage but if you look on the forums you will find how much is neutral and resistant, can't find the topic currently
https://spreadsheets.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AuOEafhUgifydHZMa3Y...
EDIT2: basing on damage tables for flourish seems that resistant is around 16% and neutral around 74% of what would effective deal so you'd get for semi-effective on guns 87% of the max, quasi-neutral 58% and resistant 46%.
