But, yet, the price did go up, currently by 200cr, but it was up to 7k on saturday. You, on the other hand, predicted that the exchange rate would go down.
It is hard to say what the announcement of the UV/unbind shop has had. Personally, I have stopped crafting until I know more about what the new shops will do. I've also been accumulating crowns since I may well need them for the UV shop...

lol, the price did go up by 1k to 7k Saturday like I predicted, Though someone else did say it's going to be 8-9k, he's wrong just like you when you say the price is going down. In fact, he's still better than you since he got the concept of CE price going to increase right. Now you just group us together with him to make us look bad, you fail. I must admit that I was plesantly surprised that the CE exchange rate did not go as as high as I was expecting. It did however go up and not down :P
That it didn't go as high as I would have thought, means the playerbase bought far less CE with crowns than I was expecting.
Since the amount of crowns generated per 5 energy was doubled, the excess crowns must be somewhere if they were not used to buy CE.
1) They were used to buy recipes/items (basil or otherwise)
2) They are being held onto in anticipation of the UV shop.
3) They are being held onto cause the player in question fails economics
Since I don't think 6500 is overvalued for CE, I don't see the price dropping (much).

6500 is only sustainable so long as there are people willing to buy it at that price. Also the fact that there are far more sellers than buyers since this morning will drive the price down as sellers start competing and undercutting each other.

I don't think there's much of a parallell between U.S. Economics and some guy on the spiral knights forums who convinced himself that he can predict the future and refuses to admit that he's wrong... despite the fact that the price of CE is staring me right in the face. 6429 crowns.

It is to some degree parallel between US economy and spiral knights CE economy. For one to correctly predict the future of it, you need logic and understanding of a decent amount of knowledge about the market system, human nature etc. And it is really funny when I know something to be true and I got to have the chance to humiliate some ignorant imbecile on this site. Yes, we should not trust everyone with a correct predictions in the past, but as the number of correct predictions pile on on someone, it would be foolish to ignore him. And sadly, this is the world we're living in, the medias are run by such fools, which conditions the rest of us to be also fools.
