Polaris and Supernova seem to have exactly the same stats (at least according to the bars)

But polaris also comes with the shock! What does Supernova have? .. Nothing?

I think Supernova should come with more dmg or more knockback or something! D:

Please don't tell me steady damage~

Supernova does normal damage,

Supernova does normal damage, Polaris does elemental damage. While I don't have both guns, I'd also guess that Supernova does more raw damage; typically weapons with a status effect attached to them deal less damage/shot as compensation.

While this may seem to look

While this may seem to look like the Prsimatech Alchemer on first sight, you have to remember that the Supernova deals Normal damage while Polaris deals Elemental thus they're two completely different guns. Someone who uses a Brandish weapon would probably find it more helpful to get the Supernova to garuntee at least neutral damage on all enemies. As of right now the guns are still very new so if its decided that the Polaris exceeds the Supernova too much then they'll probably give it an attack buff to compensate for the lack of a status. There's also no saying that the Supernova doesn't have more knockback since it hasn't really been researched at all since they're new guns.

Lazily typed

Supernova does pure Normal.

Polaris has Shock, and does both Elemental and Normal damage. It does Elemental at close-range and on the charge shot. Expanded shots do Normal.

Long-range shots are ~30% weaker than Supernova
Close-range shots are about ~15% weaker than Supernova

I think the developers

I think the developers confirmed that the Polaris dealing normal damage was a bug so expect to see that fixed at some point.

Hopefully today when they

^Hopefully today when they start the event. *Prays*

Though since it's 30 minutes left and nothing about a server reboot announcement yet (From what I've seen they usually give the notice at 45 minutes prior?), I'm beginning to wonder if there will be a server reboot at all. You'd think a patch would be needed if they're altering elevator fees. *confused*

@ Indalecio: Server reboots

@ Indalecio: Server reboots and patches are not necessary. All F2P games have events like this, usually in the form of double experience. This type of stuff happens server side and the game client is designed to recognize these changes and adjusts to them accordingly.

Don't forget about the knockback on these guns. The Supernova probably has more knockback or larger explosions from the long range shots to compensate for the lack of a status effect.

It's unlikely to be fixed

It's unlikely to be fixed since they only rebooted the servers. They need to apply a patch to fix it.
