could i trust people( who never met) to craft my equipment?
i would giving them all my CE, crown and material
trusting other people?
Too many scammers in this game, don't let people craft stuff for you unless they craft it beforehand and then you give them the materials and cost while they give you the equipment part in the same trade.
I don't understand, if you have all that to trade, why don't you craft the items yourself?
recipe is quite expensive, planning to craft for 4star item
To craft a 4* item, you need its preceding 3* item at level 5 heat (this means it's been equipped and thus, bound)
im saying that he would craft me a 3star equip then i start crafting for 4star
He didn't charge you recipe cost, sure, but what can guarantee he won't run away with an extremely good u.v. on that craft and gave you one non-u.v. instead?
It's a risk-free, liability-free advantageous scheme in disguise as a good samaritan. I would blacklist anyone I saw advertising this trade extensively in Haven.
basically he charge 3000 including the weapon.
so i only gave him mat, CE and crown.
he used his own equipment.
he said he gonna use a UV weapon to wth no extra charge
If you don't care about getting UV, you should probably be fine. Of course there's always some shameless scammers out there, crafting your own item is the ideal choice.
I'll give you the tl;dr version -- Trust is risky.
Just buy the stuff from AH, it might even be cheaper.
The first answer is best. If you don't know that you can trust someone, you probably can't.
I've only ever had one random person ask me to craft stuff. Don't know why they thought I'd know the recipe or why I might be trustworthy as I'm not someone who advertises crafting services. But, there's no way I would've crafted it for them without the mats, ce, and crowns up front. Trust is risky for crafters too. Imagine crafting something and finding out the other person doesn't have enough cr/ce/mats. Your only option then is to sell it at the AH. This is all well and good for some items, but depending on the item you could easily lose a bunch of money on the whole deal. This is why I tend to craft only for friends and/or guild mates.
I have to agree with Sanzenin. Its risky for both parties whether its the buyer or the crafter. The buyer could just as easily not pay, or the crafter could take all of the things needed to make it first, then just leave and keep everything. I never trust anyone to craft me anything, especially since I have seen many of my friends ripped off or had their things stolen when they gave the crafters the material first and then they ran off with them. The only people I really trust to craft me anything are either really REALLY good friends or guild mates that I have done business with before.
make them make it first and trade the mats, energy, crowns for the completed piece. If they can't do this for you they are a scammer. Seriously, there is no 2 or 3 star item in the game an advanced crafter can't make up front. Seriously... if they won't do this they aren't trustworthy... anyone who crafts for people for profit can eat the cost of a random dead beat client every now and them. DO NOT GIVE STUFF UP FRONT
So that's not possible taking all you give to him back?
That is ridiculously silly, as Greek mentioned, what if the buyer doesn't pay? Scamming works both ways.
I would never craft for anyone who didn't pay up-front, I personally support a no-trust system, there is a reason recipes and universally available and post-able on the AH.
I know this obviously doesn't work well for people who really do have a sense of community and good-nature to their fellows knights.
(I have in fact crafted for others, but you shouldn't trust me: Once you get into exceptions to the rule, you're doomed, you shouldn't trust anyone saying you can trust me, you cannot even trust a screenshot of me.) It's pretty bad...
If you do trust somebody and it does turn out to be a bad idea, remember that you can '/complain ' to report the scammer. Running away or logging out so you can't click on them only works if you don't know that you can type their name directly!
Also, I've crafted for others and had others craft for me and never had a problem - but always with friends and guildmates, never with people broadcasting on /2 or in town square. If I ask around my guild for someone with a recipe and ask them to craft for me, I can trust much more, not -just- because my guild is perfect, but in any guild - just because when you ask them to craft for you, the chances that the person you ask is actually a crafting-scammer are nearly zero. When you go to someone who's advertising crafting services? Chances are about as high as they'll get that that's a scammer. Still low - most crafters are legitimate, most are just trying to turn mist into CE while helping someone out, some are slightly shady and will always give you a non-UV while keeping the UVs as they craft, and a very few are outright scammers who will run away with the money (until someone /complains them).
...if you don't know if you can trust someone, then don't trust them. I don't understand how this is difficult.
