It would be nice if there was an alert telling you that since you don't have enough ME to go down the elevator, you CE will be used. Sometimes when I am saving up CE to upgrade a weapon, I forget and go down the elevator, ending up with very odd CE totals that are are hard to use.

See that yellow energy icon next to your portrait that you can use to pay tabs? It will turn red if you or someone else can't afford the elevator. :P
