I currently use a gun and a sword, so I'm wondering what the best armor/helmet/shield combination is for having a sword and a gun. Some things to note:
-My sword is Striker, and I'm going to go the Dread Venom Striker way.
-I use the Autogun as my gun, but I'm planning on getting the Antigua.
-I mostly use my sword when I have a lot of health and can go rush recklessly into battle.
-I usually use my gun when I'm lower on health and need to stay a distance away to avoid dying.

So, what would the best armor/helmet/shield combination be for that style?

Since your sword is Striker

Since your sword is Striker which is already very very fast, you don't need a speed bonus armor like Vog Cub. Instead, you should get a Skolver which gives you damage bonus.
You should get the Gunslinger series for speed/damage/charge time bonus, exactly which one I am not sure as I am not intending to to wear it unless I am a pure gunner (which I won't and never will be). Check out the wiki.

If you want both your gun and sword to benefit..

Skolver Coat (Sword Damage Bonus Med) + Justifier Hat (Handgun Attack Speed Increased Med) Get fire resist UV's for these sets though! So you don't end up melting.

Also, the Antigua is good for FSC but its not a good gun for everywhere else. Constructs and slime will resist the piercing damage so it won't be that great in Royal Jelly Palace. Wolvers and Devilites are weak to the piercing damage but they tend to dodge gun shots. Gremlins dodge gun shots also. Go for the Antigua but if you want a gun that won't be weak to anything so you can use it anywhere then use the Blaster, Pepperbox (if you're pro), or the Catalyzer's normal damage series.
