Don't get it!

I used to have one. Though the cutter is fair in tier 1 levels and stuff, it won't hold its weight in later tiers. The first slash's knock-back is too far for the phantasmal wolver to hit the enemy so you're basically doing about 1/3 of the damage a Leviathan blade is doing. Its only reliable when you're 1v1, attacking a heavy enemy, or attacking the enemy in a corner. And yet, there are weapons that still do way better than the WHB during those situations.

I thought the DA was

I thought the DA was beautiful until i saw the WHB in action
I don't have one though so can't help you out with the video

all i can say is, each strike emits a momentary golden holographic image of a wolver's head, and each strike makes a wolver bark sound

the charged attack does a bunch of strikes like he regular cutter series (except with wolver heads) and then for the grand finale, a snarbolax head that goes "CHOMP". real cool effect when you use it against boxes because it looks like the snarbolax is eating the box.

That looks pretty cool. I'm

That looks pretty cool.

I'm inclined to think that WHB would be superior to DVS when fighting Not Royal Jelly.

Not really, I find a chance

Not really, I find a chance at poison more useful than a bonus just to beasts. The bonus amount is negligible and the damage to everything but beasts is identical. Things like Lumbers, Lichen Colonies and Trojans can be poisoned consistently due to the number of hits necessary to take them down.

i have a whb (lvl9) and once

i have a whb (lvl9) and once it hit lvl10 im gonna upgrade my vile striker to dvs~ thing is if you play this game long enough you'll end having all kinds of blades to use for whatever reason~ when i help someone in tier1 i use the whb only for the cool factor~ DA is great but its not as cool *looking* as WHB ;)

Does the charge attack suck

Does the charge attack suck the enemy in and keep them in range to be hit, like the earlier weapons in the series do?

It does seem kind of odd how unbalanced these two weapons are to each other. Even if they fixed the knockback-and-slow-wolvers problem, poisoning would still be the better option most of the time, since even against poison-immune enemies it's still equal to the wild hunting blade.. the only conceivable enemy in the entire game where WHB would be superior is Rabid Wolvers, I guess..

Maybe if they changed the

Maybe if they changed the damage the Wolver bites dealt into Piercing...I can see it being useful for those dodgy little Fiends.

So, just to clarify: the sword's strike itself deals normal damage, but the animation of the Wolvers deal Piercing...since Wolvers deal Piercing now.
