Ok so I am basically new to Spiral knights and I really need some help with armor and weapons. I currently have the magic set, a defender, a Calibur and a Cryotech Alchemer. So I can go into tier two and I have gotten through it a couple of times but it is extremely difficult. So can i get some suggestions on armor sets and weapons I should get. People have recommended the Wolver set and it's upgrades but I really have no clue on what to get. As for weapons I am completely clueless, I don't know what final swords are good to use and also what guns are worth getting.
So if you can please give me suggestions and the advantages of using that set or weapon. Thank you
About every weapon and armor has it's own advanteges and disadvanteges.
So the best course of action is to get several sets, depending on what stratum you are going into.
But, alot of players seams to favor the vog cup set (5* wolver set), becouse of its hight fireresistance (for Fire Storm Citadel runs) and its sword buffs..
About the weapons, its always good to choose a type of weapon that suits your playing style.. I go with swords since I dont like the guns or bombs..
And with swords, there are three types:
Fast (5 hit combo)
Standard (3 hit combo)
Big (2 hit combo)
I prefer the big ones :D.
Once again, its good to have several weapons in your inventory, to change between stratums. Becouse different enemies are weak against different types of attackas.. If you are not avare of this, things might get wery hard for you.
There are 4 types of attacks, that are recognised by there colors (when enemies attack a colored aura apears so you can tell what type of damage they deal)
Normal (red)
Elemental (green)
Piercing (yellow)
Shadow (purple)
There are six groups of enemies with several types in each. (not gonna list every enemy..)
Beasts: Weak against: Piercing; Strong Against: Elemental
Construct: Weak against: Elemental; Strong Against: Piercing
Fiend: Weak against: Piercing; Strong Against: Shadow
Gremlin: Weak against: Shadow; Strong Against: Elemental
Slime: Weak against: Shadow; Strong Against: Piercing
Undead: Weak against: Elemental; Strong Against: Shadow
