Status Resist: Right side (Blue)/Left side (purple)

Just as the title says, what does it exactly mean?
Example: Here's a picture of the stats for an Elemental Cloak.

What does it mean when a certain stat is going to the left (purple)? Does that mean I'm more vulnerable to that status?
I'm sorry if I sound like a complete idiot on this. I just want to be sure.

yes, ur more vulnerable/lose more hp/debuff last longer, dont know details

And I guess the Chaos Cowl and Cloak are VERY vulnerable to status effects.

Blue means the status effect

Blue means the status effect is resisted and Purple measns that you are weak to that status effect (more chance to catch it, longer duration and more damage if you are burned, shocked and etc.)
