Yesterday, I did really big mistake. I bought Magnus!
I really want to kill myself, because I can hit only few types of mobs. I can't use it 90% of time. Do you think the same as me? What is better gun than Magnus?

Next time check what kind of

Next time check what kind of damage the gun deals and use this to get info on monster defense. Also, there is no better than Magnus line piercing gun and its knockdown mechanic is really great on devilites/wolvers/gremlins.

The magnus line is mostly for

The magnus line is mostly for people who chose to go gun only and want to hit wolvers or devilites before they dodge. In that context, it's a perfectly legit weapon; I'd even go as far as saying that it's indispensable if you are a pure gunner and plan on soloing.

As an all-around complementary gun to a sword/bomb loadout, it's probably not an ideal choice but with the upcoming patch, you can probably partially recoup your investment and even if not, just keep it for the day you might be curious about trying the path of the gunslinger.

From the new boss rewards, I heard good things about the pulsar line. Otherwise, the argent peacemaker is still the gun of choice to take in the current iteration of end-game.

The Ascended Calibur of guns

The Ascended Calibur of guns would be the Master Blaster which deals normal, steady damage to everything in the game. Here you can find the damage tables for it. On the 5* version the shots additionally push back the monsters that are hit with it, its not a big pushback though but can be useful.

There is no real answer to

There is no real answer to your question, to me it was well worth, i like that the bullets fly in a straight line and dont ricochet so you can snipe down stuff when people use freezing stuff. Its really great for sniping down menders and wings in Tier 2, in Tier 3 it can be a little problematic with the Menders.

The Blaster is the vanilla of

The Blaster is the vanilla of gun. For every situation when you would want to use a gun there is another gun that would be better for that situation. At the same time though, the Blaster can still perform well in every situation.

What do you want to use the a gun for? If it is simply a single gun to complement your arsenal which you can use in every situation then the Blaster is a great choice. If you specifically want something to take out gun puppies, or kite in arenas, or for FSC, etc. then there is another gun that is a better choice.

its pretty cool actually, a magnus user saved me from an fsc zombie recently(it also got stunned :D)

unlike knockback weapons, the magnus line left the monster in front of me, so i could finish killing it
unlike shock/freeze/sleep debuffs, the magnus line only stunned the monster, so i could knock it away

just like most guns, magnus should be considered a support weapon(a very good 1) imo

about the blaster, i kinda disagree, it is superior in most(most, not all) situations because of the 3bullet size, the little knockback, the ease of not switching guns and the ability to move while firing
the firing speed is also very nice, it can be used to the maximum, but unlike the antigua line, there is no big loss in dps, if ur fingers get tired of keeping the maximum firing speed up

Valiance

In my opinion Magnus is a must have weapon for those who follow gunslinger's path. How one can fight wolvers or devilites without it? Of course if you're looking for a gun suitable for kiting Magnus wasn't best choice.

If you're looking for a gun as a backup weapon I'd advice Blaster. It's worth upgrading it to Valiance which is pretty much perfect handgun: long range, 3-hit combo, short after-combo-cooldown, you can run while shooting, knock back enemies so you can keep them at distance (monster that is knockeded back while shooting usually miss as you're not in a range anymore). Valiance was my third 5* weapon and it soon outclassed both: Storm Driver and Callahan.
