Why does everyone hate the Autogun series?

So what if you can't move while firing? You can move while reloading, but not on charge attack.
Not all guns were meant to be shot whilst moving.
It's like critisizing the only sub-machine gun in your inventory cause it's the only sub-machine gun.
No sense there.
However, critisizing a sniper rifle that won't do headshots, does make sense, because sniper rifles are meant for headshots.

If you want to look at it in FPS terms, it's less an SMG and more a Machine Gun. You can't dodge while firing, you can't dodge very well while reloading, several monster types will dodge either most or all of your spread.
While that doesn't make it useless, it does significantly limit its utility, which means other guns -- many other guns -- get priority over the autogun line when people are choosing what weaponry to get and to upgrade.
The two new guns being pretty useful doesn't help the autoguns' case, either.

Autogun (Blitz Needle) is
Autogun (Blitz Needle) is probably the best gun for Vanaduke in the game. That simple fact alone is good enough for me to have it. 1shotting Trojans with its charge attack isn't bad either.

People who can't figure out
People who can't figure out how to use it without getting themselves killed don't like it.
People who know HOW to use it LOVE it.
It's the rare weapon in this game that is hard to use but is actually really good once you figure it out, as opposed to the usual set up where the better weapons are also the easiest and simplest to use. :I

HUH? WHAT?
I LOVE the autogun series. Swiftstrike + Volcanic Pepperbox = Mad fun! (Though I only use this set when I do t2 and when I do runs that aren't serious). I stand for about a second so I can still dodge. I get to pummel my enemies with a spray of shots and I can set them on fire! People who hate the autogun line just don't know how to use the gun, that's all! :D

This gun...
This gun saved my life my first time in tier 3.(fiery pepperbox) It was in a deconstruction zone and the gremlins there hurt. What i ended up doing is running away, charging, and then let loose. It's charge will drag them towards you with knock up. It gives you enough time to run away then use it again. I LOVE THIS GUN!

PepperBox line all the way bra!
First of all, as far as i'm concerned, if u travel with the people i do, (tier 2), if u don't have an alchemer, u have something in the autogun line. The Pepperbox saved my life at least 10 times when i was on a JK run, not to mention Roarmulus. I cause fire on my opponents 75% of the time, (i've done the math). And i've found that i'd end up kiting a lot. Though you can't move while firing, it goes quick enough for me it doesn't bother me at all. I have never died because my Pepperbox didn't allow me to move ( and believe me, i'd remember). So while the Autogun line may not be the best, it is one of the most flexible, usable and more fun lines to use, ( seriously, don't u like seeing ur enemies shaking at the mercy of the autogun's rapid fire bullets?).

I love my Volcanic Pepperbox,
I love my Volcanic Pepperbox, hell I used it enough to get it up to 5-stars.
But since moving down into T3 regularly I've had to shelve it, sadly. Not being able to move or block is just way too risky when every mob does 5-10 bars of damage and everything the Pepperbox is good for the Polaris, Argent Peacemaker, and Umbra Driver (the three guns I carry now) are better. The charge attack from the Barbarous Thorn Blade (of the Snarble Barb line) is a great (albeit short-range) aoe that knocks back and doesn't root you in place for 3 seconds.

Hy but people can't handle
Hy but people can't handle things they want right?so just upgrade things slowly and one at a time and if you ever get the chance to upgrade ur auto gun then do it don't be like me aiming a snarly barb while aiming a fire burst brandish or a night blade.
What gave you the idea that "everyone" hated the Autogun series? Blitz Needle is a popular gun as far as I can tell. So once again I have to ask, how did you manage to jump to the conclusion that people hated the Autogun series?
