Echo of Silence is one of those guilds. Upon its founding eons ago, this once prominent guild bolstered some of the greatest knights the Spiral Knights community has ever had the pleasure to forget. Alas, paralleled to the great Romans of the Mediterranean and the magnificent Persians of the East, Echo of Silence fell into war, corruption, and finally; destruction. The once vibrant flame that fueled its furnace was but a speckled ember. Hope was but a faint speck floating aimlessly in the tides of the guild's failure. Yet... Echo of Silence persevered. Separated by 187 quintillion gallons of water, an exotic and isolated country basked in technological prowess. Japan. And at the heart of the country's magnificent glory laid a maiden. Although her true name was lost over thousands of transcribed texts, translations, and languages, many fables and epics refer to this intangible spirit as Eclaium. Upon her travels towards the lands in the East, she stumbled upon a pitiful sight: A man cloaked in feces and paper. The remains of his once prominent empire laid in ruins before him. No one is sure why such Eclaium took pity upon Njthug. But she did and so did she join the ranks of the guild. And that was that. Members joined. The guild hall was restored, and the EoS recruitment thread transcended to new heights. Or so we thought...
A wandering traveler, donning exquisitely embroidered garments, arrived at EoS's door step. He was an enigma. Not even the oldest and most active members of EoS knew of him. It's as if the shadows themselves congealed and manifested into a tangible entity. However, EoS was once again dissipating from another Golden Age. Its illustrious guild hall began to crumble. Members slowly dwindled into the sands of time. And the recruitment thread; dead. But this wandering traveler, whom only answers to "Kocoa", would change everything. Upon his first steps into EoS, he glanced Northeast to see what was an exotic damsel. One that was not from this country. The two ultimately converged, and Eclaium fabricated tales of fantastical cuisines from her native land. Chirashizushi, Nigirizushi, Oshizushi, Narezushi... Kocoa was infactuated with the food Eclaium described. He and the Japanese temptress would solidify a bond so great that diamonds shuddered at their pathetic covalent bonds. Eclaium and Kocoa triumphantly succeeded in not only restoring Echo Of Silence's glory, but continued to exalt the EoS recruitment thread. 1. How long have you been playing spiral knights? I started playing sometime last year i only played like one hour before i got bored but i have started playing again with a new knight, i have been playing for about 1 week or more and have 26 hours in total.
2. How many runs do you do a day in T1 - T3? As much as my energy allows me but i usually play T1-T2.

That's awesome how Spiral Knights has helped you with your English. I don't think I could survive learning another language let alone speaking it regularly. But yea, I just assumed you spoke English fluently considering how often you post on the forums. Hell, you type better than most native English speakers. xD
That's what I said to myself whenever I talked to White Russian Tigers and Knights of Finland! They thought I was being modest xDDD!
My two best friends speak (type?) English (almost) fluently, with just a few spelling mistakes.
It's easier to talk to people whose first language isn't English, at least it was that way when I started the game, because other people always abbreviated EVERY SINGLE <42> SENTENCE! E.g. "wuu2?"

Well...I am a student of an international school and my lessons are all in English even though the school is located in France. So it helped with my English most but playing SK, chatting with friends in that game and posting some long stuffs on forums helped me a lot too.
In my opinion, try to write something on a topic you like helps your language you're learning to improve a lot rather than struggling to write something on a topic your teacher gave you, well of course, if you know the basic grammar. You're more motivated when you write about something you like, which is Spiral Knights forums posts in my case. If you're motivated you can write as much as you want, you can even do a looong piece of writing without even wanting to do it. But if you're not motivated...like my history essay, you struggle to write even 100 words lol And then you give up on the language hahah
Well, erm thank you XD I understand that some 2nd language speaker write better than many native speakers, not only English, many young Japanese people can't write proper Japanese. I'm not saying that I write English better than native speakers and I really don't think so. I use the same words over and over -- too lazy to look up on dictionary for another word -- and I tend to overuse "if" "when" and such...but I don't use "your" instead of "you're" x)

1.) How long have you been playing Spiral Knights?:
I played Spiral Knights around the time when it first came out, I was quite interested in the game and really wanted to put some time into it, unfortunately I wasn't able to do this because my life then, meant that I couldn't actually do that, I was really disappointed. I did however manage to put a bit of time into the game and crawled my way to 4* over time, then shortly after that I had to leave the game for opportunities that came up in real life, obviously this was a big thing for me and I couldn't really throw that away as much as I wanted to play the game it just wasn't possible at the time. Fortunately for me luck has reared its beautiful head and now I have some serious hours to spend on this game.
2.)How many runs do you do a day in T1 - T3?
I find myself doing at least 6 runs a day of T3. Most would get bored of this, however I am in love with the game and love nothing more than endless grinding. (Sounds insane)

Right now because I have the time, it's at least 8 hours a day. (Nerd out to the max)

As much as I would like to unfortunately no, I have not been blessed with the broness that is your guild members.

Like I said in my long winded anecdote, I didn't really play that much around the time when it first came out so I didn't have the chance to get in a guild, but for the past few weeks I've been playing the game non-stop every day. I've got my 5* set right now, pretty much cleared all the bosses set aside Shadow Lairs. I'm working on different gear sets and that's really going for me right now.

First of all you guys sound like the broest bunch I have ever seen in this game. I absolutely love a bro tier environment and me and my pals back in the guild I led in WoW used to be like that, so it brought back some memories for me and I would really love to be in that environment again. Plus I'm a hardcore player and I want to say that I do possess a little more skill than your average player so I think I could be of some huge use to you guys. I want to be around skilled players that also know how to have fun and not take the game too seriously, but when it comes down to it, we can really concentrate and destroy a challenge.

I'm absolutely fine with using mumble, although I'm similar to the vent and TS platforms I can use this. Yeah I have a mic, a Blue Yeti to be specific so you'll get good sound quality from me.

Probably a single poke but I would never spam about it, I see no reason for it unless it's for casual banter humor.

~Since the morning of the official release on April 4th, 2011.

~Anywhere between 0 and 69. But usually <69.

~I play SK daily, at any time of day, any given hour, for hours, or maybe just minutes. Sometimes I log on to check something and find myself having to turn my internet off to get me logged off. Other times I log off when there’s no one online to entertain me.

~You, Njthug, I know you. I made friends with Laylla on one of her first shadow lair runs way back before anyone heard of her or her guild (though she probably doesn’t remember that encounter). Lemme see… I know Shuichi, I was in her guild once… before Jade-Rabbit twisted my arm to come back to Unity… No no, Jade’s nice, but we haven’t talked much, I met her at a fashion show last January. I sold something to Hamachikama once, or it was her friend, neither of us could remember specifically, and then we talked again months later and became friends. I met Blackoil while we showed off our costumes to each other… I do think I won. Ieana, I know her as well. Not sure how we met, but we talked a few times because of a common friend, Vlam, and I remember her from when she was in Delicious Bacon. I haven’t really looked through your roster, so those are the ones off the top of my head.
5. What guilds have you been a part of?
~Oh my guild history you ask? Hmm… Started off in Pause Quit in May 2011, it was dead, so I left and was recruited by some dragon guild, which had internal problems. I made my own guild that lasted a while until I felt fit to merge it with The Risen in December 2011. I left The Risen for a fashion show and jumped around a bit, going from minuscule guilds to Unity (because Cootie seduced me with the help of Jade) then back to The Risen. The Risen died, I returned to Unity, but my evil co-conspirator, Lovelys, thought it best that we make our own guild. So my arm was twisted into being a GM there until she forced me to WPP… and was forced to stay. I broke free from the dictator once and went to Shuichi’s guild, Resistance. But Jade convinced me back into Unity where I thought best to stay (Cootie was gone on an excursion at this time). But alas, Lovelys stole me back to WPP with evil tactics and they tortured me there for months under her jurisdiction. When she turned her back, I escaped to Rigorous. But then all my friends there left, so I joined a small guild, Beyond the Core, until a friend and I decided what to do. I made a guild, Elegance, in effort to explore the concepts of the guild hall update. Which is where I am now until you accept me into EoS.

I was previously in Jempire, which was my actual guild. I was inactive so i got the boot had some problems going on at the time but all is well now. Did join Impervious for LD guild vs guilds but i had small problem or two had to leave.

Hardest question yet the easiest, let's see. I'm guildless that's a start your members I've seen up and about are really nice. Uncosung kinda inspired me to do so be honest. The guild has a positive rep in-game and outside, I did see those cookies and cake you guys made for OOOrings. Most importantly I want to be apart of something great, this seems like of those great things.

Seriously, I did vana over 100 times with the 5* hammer and barely died, except on the boss fight, I was pretty good, and I was trained by one of the finest! Many, as of the upcoming Battle Sprite update, I do seem to be grinding FSC alot, but I also do lots of runs through the arcade because doing FSC over and over is the prime of boredom. I also do alot of jelly runs, as I now have 123 tokens :P T2 arena's, soloing... Alot... Pretty much I do as much as possible.

I'm normally online weekdays, just chillin round haven. I mostly play depths and missions on the weekend, as I have alot on... But I would nearly definitelly be onat least every second day.

1)How long have you been playing Spiral Knights?
Right now, I can say i've played about a year and a half. I know that isn't much compared to most veterans, but everyone had to start low. And I intend to increase that playtime.
2)How many runs do you do a day in T1 - T3?
Well, right now i'm doing my really, really slow walk from mission 8-2 to mission 8-3(Hall of heroes, now 5* XD). But I tend to do 2-4, depending on what level depth I leave, and whether I can go without dying or not. Usually, it's on Royal Jelly Palace.
3)How often do you play Spiral Knights?
Everyday/sometimes if something happens, alternate days, often 1 hour or to 1 and a half hours. But if there's an event, i'm willing to waste a bit more time for that.
4)Do you know anyone from our guild? (If yes, who?)
I've seen members of EOS walk around sometimes, but I don't really know any :C But once i'm in, I intend to start knowing! :D

It is the first ever guild I am joining, and when I saw EOS's main page and general attitude in the guild hall, I immediately wanted to join it. I like to be in guilds/groups of people that doesn't care about stars and current rank, just having a fun time, going to places left and right as a guild, and playing as a friendly, and not necessarily good but having a fun time guild. I like those kinds of guilds, and that's why i'd like to apply to your guild. Btw EOS, you have jolly guild members and a really, really awesome guild hall.

1) I've been playing SK for about 2 years now. A friend wanted me to play with her, so I did, but i loved the game so much i kept playing long after she stopped.
2) As far as gate runs go, I dont do very many simply because I not many people to run with. I do at least 2 vana runs a day, and occasionally do T2 boss runs.
3) I play this game everyday for hours. I have about 2K hours in this game so far.
4) The only one I can remember for sure is Hollows. Whom I heard just got in recently, so congrats to you.
