quoting myself from another thread:
"Merchants are currently frightened the market will flood with max/endgame items, so they make pre sales for around 50% of what it would cost you normally.
So after the update you can buy a full endgame set for around 75 bucks. Because items are no longer bound to a specific player it will also lead to a further increase of maxes on the market every day. Competition will raise and price dumping continues."
---> Sell it for 15kce while you still can.
Some of us ( like me ) do not pay for CE. so ^ keep it in CE. Thanks
No problem squirrel. It's 35kce.
Is that your offer laverna? 35 or 15? or are those just recommendations?
I bought my asi vh brandish for 30 or 35kce (?) some weeks ago. But now with unbinding you need to be very lucky to get 15kce out of it. My previous statement was a response to darkang3l. Obviously he doesnt know how much $ ce is worth. Funny because none ce buying resellers will trade all their ce for real money one day. Why else would they collect it?
Ah gotcha, I don't see how it will take away much of the price, I can't possibly think the rarity of this item will drop that much, maybe initially but in a week or two when everyone has sold off the ones they have bound. But over the long run, I guess its a wait and see thing.
The price cant get more expensive cuz the old way to get the item is still there. It can only get cheaper~
-Source-> ober
But i do think the value of said item will get cheaper. Maybe not half, but id say down to 20-25k ish
We don't know how much anything will cost yet anyways like I said. And we know the approximate cost of unbinding. I forsee a few days of cheap sales followed by a return to normalcy, maybe slightly less expensive. Its not like everyone is gonna be walking around with VH ASI gear.
There will be more people having vh/max gear constantly. And they can resell it anytime they want. That's the problem in the long run. Rare, valuable items will be a thing of the past, because they get sold everytime someone needs energy.
i collect ce just for the sole purpose of Giving it away when i got enough. and its nice to have a huge ce pile.
you guys are not reading announcement..
uv is never an issue in future
Next week we will be releasing an update that includes some new merchant features.
Punch and Vise, gremlin outcasts from Emberlight will be moving in to the Haven Bazaar and offering their unique services. Punch will allow you to roll for random unique variants on your items in exchange for crowns. Vise can unbind items (zero star and 'starless' items excluded) in exchange for energy.
We are also adding a new item preview mode to any merchant interface. By simply clicking a button, you will be able to see what any item would look like on your character before you purchase it, even recipes!
You can expect these features to be available some time next week. Happy shopping!

And do remember many of the players out there are rich in crowns
Price and what variant you get are still a factor - you aren't going to see everyone running around with Max UV's that would make absolutely no sense.
And you are not reading it carefully.
"UV is never an issue in future" WRONG.
Did that announcement tell you the COST? Did the announcement explain how MANY TIMES you can roll? No. None of that. And you can't "assume" itll be cheap and you can roll countless times.
What i don't understand is how so many people are assuming that this service will be cheap and that uv rolls will actually work effectively. The thing is, NO ONE knows. Its pure speculation. But i believe, along with many others, people like you ruggerking, will be disappointed.
oh and and another point. When you mean "rich in crowns", anyone who has a significant amount of ce is also "rich in crowns"
if one can rage craft.. one can rage merchant uv.
this is my personal opinion.
thus the reason i stop rage craft anymore.
i am not here to be agitated and argue over some baseless evidence neither players have.
i quote out of admin context and share the information.
and my term rich in crowns attribute from every factor of fixed farming to selling recipes and selling CE, thus i guess u mis interpreted a simple sentence.
So why are u getting all agitated over nothing?
Ichanban2go, instead of trying to be all agitated and smart here, result in flaming,
instead try to cool down and enter a discussion instead of arguments.
You quoted the GM's announcement, and you "explained" it poorly.
You have "explained" the announcement using false info, saying that "uv is never an issue in future"
And a discussion requires you to understand what the other is saying, not disregard it for flaming.
So ruggerking, why dont you read and enter the discussion? :)
For all anyone knows "ragecrafting" a low star item might be way more profitable still than using the UV shop. I suspect so anyways because one you are guaranteed a UV one you are not. And you might never get the UV you desire anyways.
Rice obviously english is ruggerkings second language, so I don't really understand what you want from the poor guy.. I'm no genius but I was able to discern that what he means is that UV's probably won't be as 'rare' as they once were due to the upcoming patch, which I have to agree with because there is every indication that you can press the button to roll for a new UV as many times as you like if you have enough resources.
Considering there is a minority of people who have a great deal of resources and a penchant for unique variables I have to say that he probably isn't wrong here. Once you are playing 5* aside from elevator costs and vanity gear there is no end game crown or ce sinks except ragecrafting at present.
They could make it super expensive but I doubt they will, because this game doesn't exactly cater to the hard core players now does it.
If unbind works how I think it might end up working then you will see people unbinding/selling decent uvs once they upgrade instead of holding on to them or vendoring off the lesser item like in days past. I'd love to be wrong but I believe this will lead to an easier time being had by people searching for medium/high uvs, but max and very highs will remain somewhat rare.
No takers?
